Because I couldn't stand the uncertainty any longer... I just called the Box office at the Grand Theater in Wausau and asked about the concert tonight.

Their answer: "Our understanding is that he is in fine health and he will be here this evening."

For me, that's already somewhat of a relieve. I think that means, that the neurologist yesterday didn't find anything what would have caused an immediate cancelation - or am I wrong?

Is anybody from here going tonight and can tell us how it was going????

Claudia

Thanks Jesse!

Just had to come to the site! This sounds better.
It wouldn't seem that any doctor would allow the tour to continue, if Gord was in any real danger.

Just have to reiterate what my husband and myself have been talking about ever since Sunday night,
how the whole audience seemed to be right with Gord.....all on the same page. Like people hung on every word and note. Even if it was a note he thought he wasn't playing correctly. No one cared about that. We just all cared about him, and that room was like it was of "one mind". And, the band
members never took their eyes off of him for a minute. If there were notes to be filled in, they did that seamlessly. Is there anywhere another bunch of guys so atuned to each other??

(Just as a footnote I haven't been a lurker. My husband has had extremely serious health problems
for this last year. He has been on disability since last February and is going to try to go back to work this coming Monday. Think that maybe my name was "aime_41" or something like it. It had changed a couple of times previously, but not to talk to myself. LOL I just never remember who I am.....not a good sign at this age. EH??

Oops! I don't think that I know how to use this board anymore. It has been awhile. Was trying to thank John Fowles for finding out what my previous screen name was. It was "lam3346e" and then for awhile "aime_41" (not trying to fool anyone). I'd left when my husband became ill, just because it's been a very long unsettling time. But, NEVER quit listening to Gord. We (my husband and myself) have been listening to Gord since shortly after we were married, which was 41 years ago. It's as if Gord's music has woven the pieces of marriage together. It's one of the deepest bonds that holds us together, outside of our marriage itself.

YAY!!!! Thats encouraging. Since I heard of his mini-stroke condition, I have been including GL in the circle of people I light candles for; those I love, like or just anyone I hear about thats going thru a tough time and needs a little good karma sent there way.

My fingers are crossed that he will be ok for this weekends concerts and far beyond!
