Happy Birthday and many, many more, Gordon Light(of my Life)foot. The first time ever I saw your face... at a concert in Fort Worth, Texas, mid seventies. Cannot tell you how many LP's I bought over and over again because was sure I heard the slightest scratchy noise of imperfection, and feared I would never hear it the same way again, so perfectly exquisite as you were on stage. Never wrote a fan letter, save that one, before or since, seeing you in concert. Cried worshipful tears for two days just because you were so perfect. Just discovered the early songs on the Songbook, 'Remember Me', and 'It's Too Late.'Youth is so painfully gorgeous but so, too, is a life well seasoned. We will always remember you, Gordon.

Happy Birthday, Gordon!
You are one of the 10 greatest storytellers of our time. (Of any time, actually.) But I wish I could find the album that has Knotty Pine on it! It is nowhere to be found! I want it and I can't find it!
Have a great birthday. Mine is only 3 days after yours. Thanks for making such great music.

P.S. When are you coming back to Grand Rapids? I'll be there.

Hope you enjoy your birthday. Thanks for all the great music, can't wait to see the shows in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Please let your band members know how much they are all appreciated for the unique talents they bring to your extraordinary songs.

Dear Gordon
I feel honored to be able to wish you a happy birthday. I first remember seeing and hearing you when you had a show on TV just before Wide World of Sports.
I wasn't a fan back then but became one when my best friend started playign your music and have been a fan now going on for over thirty years. I liked your recent special on CBC and hope you come to Vancouver so I can see you live.
Thanks again for thirty years plus years of musical enjoyment.

Happy Birthday, Gordon!
And thank you for many wonderful songs and good memories shared last night here in Minneapolis (or as you call us, "Minnie"). The show was superb. My mother and I enjoyed every moment of it. I especially enjoyed hearing the newer songs for the first time, although you made us all happy by playing the old favorites like "Early Mornin' Rain". You have a wonderfully engaging way with the audience. Really made me feel like we were all sitting around a campfire sharing songs, and I wanted very much to come up onto stage and sing harmony with you!
Thanks again, and kudos to your band, as well. They were great.
Have a wonderful birthday next week.

Happy Birthday, Gordon. In another time, you would have been considered one of those rare poets whose depth enriches the testament to the time you lived and would be read by generations to come as great literature. Your lyrics and you music are certainly that.Best wishes always, Linda Bowden

Happy Birthday,
We hope this finds you well.
Mr Lightfoot, in my opinion your remark about the Edmond Fitzgerald (song) adding 25 yrs to your career was way off. My wife and myself have reveled and been inspired by your artistry for over 20 years.

Happy Birthday, Gordon!! Got to see you for the fourth time in Wabash, Indiana a couple of weeks ago and finally got the chance to meet you. Thank you for the time to talk. This concert was indeed a special one, as my daughter and oldest grand-daughter were with me! The goodnight hug will not be forgotten by my grand-daughter! We are already making plans to include the youngest girl next year. She is almost three, but knows you already and comes running when she hears one of your songs playing.(Who says there's no hope for the next generation?)
May you always be blessed for the lives and hearts you have touched.

Happy Birthday!
Thanks for a terrific performance in Minneapolis. It was my umpteenth time at one of your concerts, and they seemed to be more enjoyable each time. (Thanks especially for playing "Restless," my favorite of your '90s songs. Hope you play in Grand Forks again. Your talents have provided many enjoyable hours for me and so many others. I'll never complain that you've stopped playing "The Auctioneer," either.

!!Happy Birthday Gordon Lightfoot!!
Thanks for a lifetime of songs that take us down the carefree highway and on the high seas. Here's hoping that you rest easy, if only for the day, then press on working on that next album for us.
I do have one small request--please see what you can do about the release of the final four. The record player has long since given up the ghost, the vinyls have worn thin, my tapes squeak, and I miss Old Dan's Records! Thanks again and enjoy your day.

A very best birthday wishes to you, Gordon Lightfoot. You are the only entertainer that I regularly check the concert schedule here in the Pacific Northwest for upcoming visits. Do you remember the comical glasses that Pee Wee use to wear during your performance of Old Dan's Records? He threw them to my family after a concert at the Puyallup Fair and we still keep it on display. I hope to see you perform again in the Seattle area soon. Thanks for the years of great music. Happy Birthday Gordon! As my mom (aka Bittergreen) posted on here, it was great to see you in Wabash a couple weeks ago. I'm still in shock to have met you! This has been my third time to see you and the most memorable so far. You are great and I can't wait til next year when my three year old can go. Like at the show, I'm at a loss for words, so I'll just end this with a Happy Birthday and best wishes. See ya next year!

Your Minneapolis concert was great. Happy Birthday from all of us who have
enjoyed your music over the years. I've listened to your tunes dating my
husband, in the labor room waiting for my daughter to be born, at concerts,
on road trips... you name it, but I've always enjoyed hearing your wonderful
songs and creative lyrics. Our friend and fellow longtime fan from Seattle
flew to Minneapolis to join us Nov. 11 in the beautiful State Theatre. A
night to remember. Inspirational. Fun. A Pokemon world, indeed. Happy
Birthday!
