Actually, Dan Ackroyd said it in response to Jane Curtin's remarks. And Roseanne Roseannadanna was played by Gilda Radner. But, I expect most people here already know that.

Favorite Quote?

Not sure, but Most Memorable? How 'bout that. Actually, there are two:

"The Blues Came Up The Mississippi by Pack Mule." and

"Wet Birds Never Fly At Night."

Leon used to say those alot. I guess that's why they're memorable, although I don't have much of a clue beyond that.

"I have a gun and PMS. Do you have something to say?"

Also, living in Northern Maine, where there are absolutely no Interstate high ways, I'm partial to "You can't get there from here."

maybe not a favorite, but interesting:

HE WHO KNOWS

He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, is a fool, shun him;

He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, is a child, teach him.

He who knows, and knows not that he knows, is asleep, wake him.

He who knows, and knows that he knows, is wise, follow him.

Seeing that CMDJ used my favorite Thoreau quote,I was keeping these others on the light side.
I just wonder if anyone might know the author of this one??

Beer is proof that God loves us
and wants us to be happy..

Here's another of my favorites:

"It's far better to remain silent and be thought the fool...than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." - Mark Twain

Here's a good one by the late son of my Godparents:

"We ally not because we are 'alike' nor to remake each other or to force compromise or correct tactics.

We ally to affirm each other's strengths and to call up that which we need but don't have ourselves.

If we are to build even stronger alliances for our common good, we must accommodate and encourage our personal and cultural differences, while tolerating our natural weaknesses, and thereby solidify our political partnerships."

While improvising blues lyrics a very young Adrian Lloyd sang:

"I was born one mornin' on my way to school."

Needless to say, Adrian is still white.
