Having got this far I realised on more mature reflection your scanner scan is terribly pale
(as may well have been your original photo of course) but you should have been able to improve things by adjusting the scanning settings.
scope for further experimentation there Laurel!!! So I have taken the liberty of fettling it with My MGI Photosuite program to produce this more respectable version

Thanks John! I will look into asap. I think the problem was a very simple one. After a night's sleep, I realize that I didn't send in the confirmation email to MSN. .net password thing. lovely. I'm going to play around and see if that corrected the problem. figures.

I was SO nervous, I stood there like a sunday school girl with my hands folded in front me (fingers strangling each other in sheer nerves), he put his arm around my waist (can you say heart attack?), then slid his cheek up against mine, and I, of course, leaned right into it. Now, if I'da had the guts, I would've done it myself, but I'd used all my courage asking for a hug earlier (ah,I was young and crazy!), and I had none left. I'm sure he was just being kind. All in a day's work, right?

hey jj, just saw your post actually. I guess I was too busy ripping out my "golden locks" to see it. It was rough going to post that bad boy. I finally got it on my own, and masochist that I am, I'm going to try and upload a pic of Gord and Terry. It's kind of dark, but I hope it comes out. On a different thread of course..this one is beginning to drive me nuts, RE: janice's comment on seeing the pic everytime and the wideness of the column..too wide!
Thanks for the compliment. That was my 26 year old self. One day, soon I hope, I'll get a pic of myself up...Or let John The Master do it...
and Violet, heh. Your comment about skinning cats brings an old family story to mind..that's for small talk though...I'll try to get it in in the next day or so...eek!
