I was at the Carlisle concert last night and it was fantastic. Gord has never seemed so alive on stage as he did last night. He was talking to the crowd a bit more than usual. He also played a few more songs than he usually does. I was at the Westbury show a month back and the Carlisle show definitely was better. He seemed to have more of a connection with the crowd in Carlisle. His voice was also a bit stronger.

A few of us waited around behind the theater after the show for Gord and the band. Terry and Barry came out together first. They were very enthusiastic about signing autographs and taking pictures with the 10 or so people waiting there including me. It seemed that they were almost looking forward to meeting and talking to us after the concert. Barry talked a little about his family. He also said that the band really never travels together. Terry and Barry spent about 10 minutes or so with us and then got into what appeared to be a rental car and left. I guess off to Harrisburg airport.

Five minutes later, Gord and Rick Haynes came out and were equally enthusiastic about mingling with us who had patiently waited. These guys were so down to earth it was unbelievable. I was the first to talk to Rick and he was more than happy to sign an autograph and be in a photo with me as my friend took the picture. I was very impressed with Rick and his politeness. I also was able to get Gord's autograph and he was also more than willing to be in photos. He was more than happy to talk to us. He was impressed that of the 10 people waiting at least 5 of which were around 25 years old including myself. He said it makes him feel good to know that all ages enjoy his music. After signing every autograph for the remaining people waiting, Rick and Gord also got into their rental and drove off with Gord waiving as they left. It was a fantastic experience and my first time ever meeting the band. They are really a group of great guys who you can tell truly enjoy doing what they do for a living.

If you ever get the chance to go to a concert, wait around for the band afterwards, you will not be dissappointed.

has anyone had a similiar experience as mysel? I'd love to hear.
