woah, i love that pic, way to go!
hey, i didnt' know John had a website?!? (or webring, i dunno the diff ...yet)
well my website is now over 3 years old
A webring is a usually voluntary grouping of sites devotecd to one subject and ideally all sites display a simple navigation bar to let you proceed around thre ring or select a random site. lined up such a group and initially they were all listed on a "hub" page. I included sites such as the Rhino Songbook page, Google groups (the Newsgroup) and a slew of Lightfoot Yahoo group sites
but the problem is there is no way to get the navigation bar on such sites. after a ho webring.org did a check on all rings and sites without a Nav bar were removed from thre hub listing. i have devised a way aroiund ythis problem and will try to get it upand working soon
fantastic! old set lits: john saw on susan's floor, rosanna, the gypsy, circle is small (probably sounding like original version, which is THE only version for me), so cool!
are there more old setlists?, i'm trying to check out a concert i saw early or mid 80's...there used to be at Wayne's site i think but i can't find them anymore :-/
wayne's site has all from about 1981 it certainly includes the May 1981 London cocert I saw. i have a very few old lists to add yet.
sorry, i'm off topic, i must check those pics out when i get settled, thanks john!

Not trying to be a sociliter or anything like that, but there's my site on the web, too. Some pages are borrowed from Wayne but they are directly linked and i've e-mailed him but i haven't got a answer, yet. I'd like to say the brain behind the scene is a 14 yr old kid from Canada. I'm impressed by the things ppl have done.

Laurel,I need to buy a new camera first. I got mad at my old one and like a modern caveman,I smashed it. The film return got stuck and I lost it and then the camera lost it's right to exist!
Hoping to get one this fall. Hopefully digital so I can put the pic here. No promises but thank you for them though.

Simple Jimini
just open http://www.lightfoot.ca/
on the double line menu under the "medallion " graphic
click on "tour dates"
you get a slightly confusing choice between:-
"Tour Schedules 1974-2004" and
"Tour Summaries 1995-2002"
Plus the following
"Benefits" linking to a list of Gord's benefit concerts
including a mention of last Friday's so Wayne is really on the ball!!!
and a pair of possibly quite recently added interesting links
"Lightfoot Geography"
"Promotional Pictures"
including a few I do not recall seeing before such as this one:-
and
Anyway to see the full list of 1981 concerts just click on:-
"Tour Schedules 1974-2004" and select "1981"
all concerts would appear to be listed and
Click on the (S)for set lists, (R)for concert reviews
but only 4 set lists are available
one of those is the May 18th Royal Albert Hall one Bruna/silverheels and I attended
(although I had not by then had the pleasure of meeting her and if I had would most likely
have denied the fact!!!)(as no doubt she would me!!!)
whilst I have your attention Jim, I have a few points to discuss with you by e-mail but as
you registered incognito I do not have your current e-mail address. Would you kindly drop me
a line so I can reply please??

If he does any future promotional photos, can he please lose the leather jacket?? It really doesn't match his age and it's like somebody's grandpa trying to look like a young tough. Maybe he's just trying to "pump up" a slender frame.(Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan) The cover for Harmony or his appearance in the Inspiration Lady video was much more on target.

I think the leather jacket is one of those comfortable old pieces one hangs onto, partly because it feels good, partly because of memories.
Personally I've got a denim coat hanging in the hall closet I'll never get into again in this lifetime but won't part with it because I like the way it looked on me when I *could* wear it, and I remember the day - and friends I was with - when I bought it from this little place on Central Ave when I was in college (!)

The coat in question is not the one that he has worn for years. This is a new one which is very big on him. It's a different coat altogether.
Maybe Rick should take all his promo pics because he did a great job with the cover of Harmony as well as the insert where Gord is changing strings a good many years ago. Perfect use of light and the pic really is artistic.

well, in The Star interview, the reporter said Lightfoot wore a black shirt showing his muscular frame. Docters said without that, Lightfoot would have died.

I like his old leather jacket better. The one he was wearing in the pic I posted is the old one, I believe. The black leather I'm wearing..well, I still wear it. Minus extra bit on the shoulder. It was 20 years old when I got it, and I've had it since 1989. Love it. It's my favorite jacket, easy. I understand you denim thing perfectly Annie!
*(oops, I had that I was wearing his old leather jacket, not him lmao! as if...)
