Fading Away 10 Gotta Get Away 8
Alright folks, in the latest showdown, people preferred Fading Away. It seemed to me that people felt that the lyrics to Fading Away were far superior, but many posters were seduced by the groove of Gotta Get Away. Showdown #12 is a suggestion from Borderstone and I can see why he put the two songs together. So let's see what you think. Which song do you prefer?
Endless Wire
or
Keepin' on Yearning

"Endless Wire" without a doubt! One of Gord's best rock songs. "Keepin' On Yearnin'" is good too, but I tired of it quickly, and I can understand why he dropped it from the album. The original "Endless Wire" has a great production, but I love the re-recording too.

Daaaaang! Now that's a "lot" of responses in a very short time! :D
Oh,boy..now "I" have to choose and it's no easy pick for me!
"Keep On Yearnin'" literally has been in my head the past few days from when I played Disc 3 of Songbook. I'd forgotten how good it was.
"Endless Wire" on the other hand is just as catchy and rockin' as well.
Oh....I'm going against the grain here and picking,"Keep On Yearnin' ". Not because it's in my head but mainly,I'm so "used to" "Endless Wire". (Still love it though but....
"Keep On Yearnin'" it is.

Re: Showdown #12
Endless Wire.
There's a reason Keep on Yearning was in the "vault," not that the vault didn't contain some gems. 4someReason, 2M2L comes to mind. LOL
