During our first ever trip to DisneyWorld in Florida this past week my wife and daughter and I decided to tour EPCOT bright and early. We were almost alone as we walked through Canada. I found myself hollering after them "listen, listen it's Lightfoot" as I pumped my fist in the air. (It was an instrumental version of "The Wreck" playing as background music.) I wish I had a picture of myself jumping up and down! He's an icon, no doubt!
P.S. Nice to see all these posts after only a week offline.

I figured you away somewhere as I hadn't seen any posts. Glad you enjoyed your vacation and welcome back.
That's cool about hearing that song at Epcot. I get excited everytime I hear Sundown on the radio and I have heard that song a million times!

Disney World is our family's annual vacation (we just got back from there too!). I had a similar reaction hearing Edmund Fitzgerald the first time I heard it playing there. They also play Alberta Bound. I've hung around listening for more GL tunes but haven't heard any yet--next year!

I always demand that we eat in Canada, so that I can listen to the music. I remember hearing Alberta Bound, Beautiful, Edmund Fitz, IYCRMM, and I think Love and Maple Syrup. There were a few others too, but I can't remember them right now.
My family hates eating there. The food is good, but they have to be quiet at the begining of every song so that I can figure out what it is!

I've not made it to Disney World yet, but reading your posts made me think of my reaction whenever I hear a Lightfoot song that I'm not personally playing -- like on the radio, in a store, etc. I get so excited, stop to listen, point it out to my (disinterested) family when they are there, and just smile inside. It makes me feel like I've got a great secret, and those around me are too clueless to figure it out! Aren't we lucky?
