well, do you or don't you know about that? i think body language is a part of acting, no?

i can believe Gord was furious but probably about who knows what else, lol ...i really think Gord was wonderful with his performances but could do without the skit (he was probably just a good sport to go along with that idea, did that Buck dude write that? ) ... i don't find most of their skits very funny but i've had a few chuckles over the years in an idiotic kinda way ...i'm mainly there (if at all) for the music, which is often slim pickins as far as my taste runs ...but it's a classic programme for sure

ps) thanks for the added BDay laffs Sheryl, lol... i really don't want to bring that kind thread back to the top or i'd add my follow up to it ...and Annie, Char thanks for the tips also but i'm still infected for sure...btw, i do have a mac G4 and spend most of my computer time on it (i usually just creep online or to email while i'm waiting for rendering) when i get a chance, but i don't choose to put it online at all ...for one thing, too much uncopyrighted stuff on there so i just use the dinosaur method and transfer stuff to this Windows craptop/laptop if i need to distribute something quickly, otherwise i just enjoy using the post office...ok, ramblin'

...thanks again (btw, oddly enough i am not an Elvis fan in the least...i can hardly take looking at ben mulroney, lol)

lol, but since Gord has Orillia hockey blood in him, it would probably have been a vicious butt end or spear with the neck of the guitar instead, heh heh

and forget the sheers, even if you have greasy fingers, you aint going near my guitar! lol

Yeah, those were fun hockey days. The Orillia Terriers (Senior A) and Orillia Travelways (Junior B) used to put on some great figh-- er, games at the Community Centre Arena.

JF, right again you are! it aired last night and instead of seeing JB cutting GL's strings, we saw the editors cutting Spanish Moss ... now, i guess i'll have to hunt down my unlabelled archives, get back to you in a few years, lol

Borderstone,
Inquiring minds (mostly mine) want to know which man (besides GL) dated which 'strange woman' (Cathy Smith?)

John Belushi + Cathy Smith (is B back online or still at the library? how about Stationmaster? )

i'm not up on the gossip archives, but i suppose that last one was a 'date' (maybe there were others too), but not my idea of a goodtime

Thanks jj. You confirmed my suspicions. Belushi's death was tragic, as was her part in it. Somwhere I read that GL was very supportive of her during the aftermath of JB's death. CS must have reformed - I have one of her workout videos - at least I think it is the same CS - and it's pretty good. She also looks great.

omg, i actually laffed out loud there...i do not think THAT gal is 'her'...thanks for the chuckle

btw, the workout gal is Kathy Smith... whereas Cathy Smith is approaching 60 yrs old ...doesn't mean she can't have a workout video though, isn't Jane Fonda in her 60s or 70s?

Cathy was the one that injected the last 8 ball of John's life. She served her time in the US and moved back to Canada. Gord paid her lawyer's fees. She is now married and last I heard had not reunited with her daughter from here relationship with Levon Helms of the Band. She gave her up for adoption after she met Gord but not because of Gord. she said she kicked drugs and has never used them since the John ordeal.

jj- You are right - it could not be the same woman. I also got a chuckle out of my assumption and a bit

apparently it was Gord's idea to cut the strings. Richard Harison (who used to tour with Gord back then) mentioned it at the NG earlier today.
LOL

btw, for those who were commenting about GL's suspenders/braces on Canadian Idol, well he (and i ) had them on way back for his SNL gig too, eh...so they are not about being old, it's about being hip, lol

Why don't you try Google Groups' new Beta version to read and reply to the NG? It's instantaneous posting and pretty easy to use.
