RE: Borderstone...

That is the one thing I don't like about forums...you get attached to the people that post and then when they disappear, you have no idea what happened to them. Maybe they got bored or ticked off and left, OR, maybe something bad happened and you just don't know!!!

To me, the words that are typed here are more than just "words"...there are people behind the words...and I get attached to those people and miss them when they go away!

Anyway, I hope Borderstone is OK!

I've just checked over a few posts and BS says he usually posts from a small two storey library close to where he lives and not from the main downtown library.

How many libraries are there in Phoenix?

Maybe he got all posted out. I'll bet he still reads the post, but for whatever reason, he doesn't post himself.

Brink, difficult one, that!

I know I'm only a newbie but this just doesn't seem BS's style.

Hopefully he's stuck in hospital with a broken leg.

He may've found another forum that he gets on. But I've been to a few and they were'nt as well organized as this one, though. He'll be glad to know he's getting all this attention, though.

BINGO!!!
ah the power of the internet
further to the replies by Matthew and Gaby
in an earlier thread I eventually managed to get B a.k.a. Walter Lamont (his middle name) to sign into my lightfoot webring page's guest book as a private entry and he gave me his address thus knowing his zip code
I did a google search for "library" and the zip and then from a handy list of Phoenix library branches at:- http://phoenix.gov/PUBLIB/libjbapp.html
I found that there are two library branches in Phoenix with the same zip as B's
using mapquest.com revealed that the distances from B's to the library branches are:-
the first one I tried was precisely 3.54 miles probably a rather long jog away??
further investigation revealed a second banch
only 0.94 mile away (5 minutes by automobile)
I am now about to e-mail the relevant details to Matthew to take further including the branches'phone numbers
and suggested to him
"Worth trying to phone the branch first they just might have a record of his home phone number?? (maybe even the librarian is B's new girlfriend?!!!)And check if either of them is 2-storey

At this holiday time, I am deeply impressed by how concerned we all are over Borderstone's disappearance. Let's pray that he is well and turns up soon. I know that he will be very deeply touched by all the concerns expressed here. This really restores my faith in fellow humans, and reminds me that we are truly one big family. Gord fans are, of course, the greatest!

Aren't there laws against stalking??? What if Watchman or Auburn Annie or myself for that matter stops posting for a month?
Will the Corfid police show up at our doorsteps? Maybe we should all chip in a few dollars and hire a private investigator.
I do admit, however, that I too have become attached to my Border-Buddy. I hope he's OK.
I'm calling Southwest and find out when the next flight to Phoenix leaves.

Also, I have a friend that works for Prairie
Farms. He's in charge of labeling the milk cartons. If someone will E-mail me a photo
of Borderstone, I can have his picture on every milk carton from Boston to Tiajuana.
Speaking of Tiajuana, has anyone looked there yet??????

I doubt if anyone has a pic of our man other than his new (presumed?) girl friend and a
google search for "borderstone" only found this

captioned
"DANDIE OF THE YEAR
and BEST BITCH (photo)

Ch. Borderstone Eminent Envoy"
But sadly I somehow do not think that this will be of much use in our quest
