The first time I saw Gordon was at the Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos, Ca back in 1976, or maybe 1977. I was going through my first divorce and a friend got tickets to lift my spirits. I fell deeply in love with him that night. I went to at least 6 more concerts over the years following that. In 1978, Gordon performed at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco. I had the good fortune to have front row/center seats. During the concert he placed the microphone to his throat as he swallowed a swig of water. We could hear the gurgles as it passed down his gullet, I remarked, apparently loud enough for him to hear, "Talent, pure talent." To which he replied, "Oh, you like that do you?" Needless to say, I was thrilled. The last time I saw him perform was in Fresno California some time during the late 80's. I have every album he ever recorded, and purchased Gord's Gold untold times to give away as gifts. God Bless you Mr. Lightfoot for the joy you have given me.

Hi Pauline! Borderstone here and,yep...i know that feeling of when Gord acknowledges you from the stage.
(For those that already know this story, you can read or not. )
I saw Gord in Aug. 2002 here in Phx. and he started talking about "a movie starring Michael Douglas from 1970". I shouted from the second section, row 2,"Hail,hero!"
To which he simply replied,"You got it man!" That was great! :D
