Last night was the first time I have had the chance to see Gordon in concert, and it is the best concert I have ever been to.
I give the concert an A++++

christine,
Sounds like I missed a good show. Damn! I took my exam, & it was very hard...flip of a coin on passing. I'd rather been at the concert. Did he sing the new song "Night Time"?

I now he did do a couple of new tunes, I'm trying to remember if that was one of them.
Gordon did play In My Fashion and Old Dan's Records which was awesome. I didn't know if he would play those. He has so many songs it must be hard to chose which ones to play.

He did play Night Time, was pretty tune. Really mixed it up this time, played an old tune about " if heaven don't want me, then I don't want heaven " or something like that. Played Summertime Dream which I don't think I've heard him play. Oh, my wife and I met him and had our picture taken with him after the show. About twelve fans and us hung out by the way back side where they were loading up the equipment and he finally came out about an hour after the show ended. He actually apologized for keeping us waiting!
I plan to post the whole encounter shortly.

Shadow,
You lucky dog! Sounds like it was another great performance. I wished I could have been there to hear "Summertime Dream". I have a video of him singing that song on "Saturday Night Live" I think & it was done so good. Love that song. "Night Time" will be interesting to hear on CD. I think the other song you mentioned was "Heaven Don't Deserve Me" a bonus cut on the SONGBOOK 4CD set. That song is a gem too! Thanks for posting, I'd like to hear "the rest of the story"!

I'm still buzzing from the Detroit show....Gordon spoke to me! I was in the 2nd row of the orchestra pit, right in front of him....during the applause for 'Don Quixote' I yelled for 'Pony Man'....at first I thought he didn't hear, but he stood up, looked at me and said: "Did you say Pony Man"? I said "Yes, sir!", and he said they'd try to fit it in, and sure enough, as they walked onstage to start the second set, he motioned to me and said "Pony Man, right??" and played the tune. I don't know if he already planned to play it, but I'll never forget the great gesture................Jam
