Wow, only Gordonites would be so enthralled with a man's foot wear. Personally, I would rather be involved with helping him remove those boots if you know what I mean. klb

John, with regard to you mentioning Gordon disentangling himself from his guitar amp wiring. When I last saw the great man in concert, it was his last show in Orilla before he took ill, and he had gone hi tech. He had a little transmitter on his guitar strap which was plugged into his guitar, with no trailing wire. Has he regressed?

One small caveat, this was on his 6 string, he may not have had this set up on his 12 strings.

I don't believe his 12 strings have a pickup unit. Last time I saw him (okay, it was before his illness) he just pointed a mic at the soundhole on the 12 strings.

Hi Jim yes and no
at one earlier concert this year I did notice that he was using a transmitter link most likely on a 6 string then after the interval he reverted to a trailing wire.
I specifically asked Chuck Thomas after the show what the story was and Chuck said Gord had been trying a radio transmitter connection out "but did not like it". At every concert this last week I made a point of checking the 5 string guitar's connection and every time the full plug in wire was used on it.Point of interest several times Gord when he picked up his second 12 string made quite a feature of explaining that it was "hiding" and was specially tuned for just the two songs EMR and CRT. so that it was always perfectly in tune.
I well remember an old concert where he spent ages tuning the 12 string until he was satisfied that it was "ringing like a bell"
