The concert schedule on the www.lightfoot.ca site indicates a Sheboygan WI show on September 20th. I figured I'd stop and catch it on my way home from Milwaukee. I emailed the venue, to find out when tickets are going on sale, and received the following reply from the Managing Director. Oh well, maybe Gordon will book a show elsewhere in Wisconsin.

"At this time, we do not anticipate Gordon Lightfoot to appear in Sheboygan. Our local Rotary Concert Series was attempting to book a performance by Gordon Lightfoot but, as of late last week, I understand that the deal fell through."

Update: In case anyone was interested in this concert, I just got the following update via email! It appears there will be a concert after all!

Vickie

"As of this morning, I can confirm that our local Sheboygan Rotary Concert Series has successfully negotiated a contract with Gordon Lightfoot. He will be appearing on our stage on Thursday, September 20th at 7:30 p.m."

Hi Vickie,

that's certainly good news!!!

I hope, that now also the Minneapolis and Duluth concerts will be confirmed soon. Yesterday I asked the State Theaters Box office Manager at what time the tickets will be on sale - the concert isn't even mentioned on their website yet.

He said, that the paper's haven't been finalized yet but as soon as everything is confirmed, they're going to post it on the website.

Hi Claudia.

We have tickets for June 30 in Cedar Rapids in the third row. Also plan to go to the three straight nights in MN in September.

I contacted the Rochester facility some time ago and they didn't know anything about it. Please post when you find out Minneapolis and Duluth tickets go on sale.

Very excited about all the reports out east and seeing the YouTube clips. Gord looks happy and in fine form.

Hi John,

lucky you, June 30th is right around the corner

I feel like you, after seeing all the YouTube clips I already get really excited about his Minnesota concerts. I'll go 'only' to the two close to me but I'm looking very much forward to it. The concerts are always over much to quickly so this time I can just sit, relax and smile, because the very next day, I'll see him again.

Maybe we can meet here in the Twin Cities or Duluth. To the second one I'm going alone, without hubby... He thinks I'm crazy - and I probably am, lol.

As soon as I hearesomething back from the State Theater or/and the DECC I'll post it right away.

Yes, let's say hello in Minneapolis or Duluth.

My wife Debbie thinks I am a little crazy too but puts up with it. She will be going to 3 of the 4 concerts. Looks like my sister Nancy wants to go with me to the Minneapolis concert.

I just bought tickets for June 15 to see the Lettermen at Treasure Island Casino. They are Debbie's favorite. With that goodwill, I will be able to get by with my Lightfoot plans later in September !!

The Wall Street Journal article last week was fantastic and said it so well. We are not going to have Gord doing this forever. Whenever he is within 300 miles, I will do my best to go.

Excactly, the days we're able to see him, might be numbered. That's one reason, I really want to go to Massey next year - the 'House of Gord' as Char puts it so nicely

I can't remember that I ever was so determined to see an artist perform, not even in my teenage years. Would Gord be any younger, I think my husband would not let me go alone, lol.

You know what I wish? That there was a place (or a thread) exclusively devoted to ticket sales. Not only listing when the concerts are, but when the tickets go on sale, who of us are going to be at the concerts so we can hook up and meet, and advice on how to get the "good" seats. It could also be a place to post our own reviews after the concerts have taken place. Oh well.

I plan on being at the Rochester, Minneapolis & Milwaukee concerts in Sept. So if anyone knows when those tickets go on sale, I hope I don't miss your posts!

Hey, Gitchigumee - Milwaukee tickets went on sale already; April 20th. I did make a post as soon as I found out, but I guess you didn't see it! I believe tickets are still available - go to the Pabst Theatre web site!

Pardon my French, but HOLY CRAP!

Thanks Vickie, I just went and bought tickets. Jeez, we're in nosebleed, but I understand it's a small theatre and I'M GOING TO SEE GORD ON 9/19!!!

Now about Rochester and Minneapolis...

Glad you were still able to get tickets! It's a beautiful theatre! We'll have to meet up and say hello.
