I was listening to Canadian Railroad Trilogy last night, winding down from a busy day. For some reason, I was reminded of those goofy word puzzles where you have to decipher a common title, phrase, or some other such item that has been restated. For example: "Several Colorless Rodents" would be the clue for "Three Blind Mice".
Being tired and bit loopy, I figured a GL edition would be fun. So, here it is. I expect you Lightfoot buffs won't have too much trouble, although I tried really hard to come up with at least a couple cryptic ones.
Enjoy and feel free to add your own!
1.) Oblivious Thoroughfare
2.) Provincial Bondage
3.) Question of Maternal Insight
4.) December Nocturne (Northern Hemisphere only, my apologies to our friends south of the Equator)
5.) Familiar Amphibian Decree
6.) Request for Permission
7.) Invitation to Attempt
8.) Symmetric Metallic Enclosure
9.) Description of a Nomadic Artisan
10.) Narrow Band Sans Illumination
11.) Additional Amount of Steaming Libation

Communication through movement of air
Making advances on a Mediterranean mint
Acrid common
Theridiidae Silk and fine particles of matter
Okay, that's all I have the brain for. That took a freaking dictionary to do? Whew.

Very good! 9 out of 11. I gave you "The Gypsy" even though that's not what I had in mind. It fits.

A simple song not having reached majority
Admission of Error
Comely
Distilled fruit of a bramble
Condensed vapor after sunrise
A creation of the imagination on the surface of the earth
Okay, my brain hurts now.
