Last night's concert was fantastic. After getting warmed up with the first song GL was in great form. He and the band nailed everything, and I really am trying to be objective. This was a benefit concert which included a reception with GL after the concert so the concert itself was not as long as it usually is. He did one set, no intermission. The crowd was very responsive and appreciative. At the reception afterward GL was kind and polite to everyone, as he was mobbed for pictures and autographs. As GL made the rounds, the members of the band were more than willing to talk and answer our many questions, signed our cds and let us take pictures. All very nice, absolutely great guys. A great night.
Gotta go,
chris

Chris,
I pulled into the New Carrollton, Maryland train station at about 9 PM, after a long trip through New York City from Buffalo. I had thoughts of trying to catch part of the show, unfortunately it didn't work out. I am glad to read your review. Thanks!

Towson was fantastic, I don't know why I had
waited 28 years to go see him but it was great. Whenever he's in reach I'll be there,
and my wife(not a great fan) loved it. Short
it was 'cause it was a benefit, but worth every penny.
Just a Painter passing through, not hardly.

It was great wasn't it. When I realized that it was going to be a short show (because of the benefit - and the fact that he came out in the Hawaiin shirt was a tip off) I wondered how people would feel about that, especially people who were not attending the reception afterward. But as your post shows, even a little less Lightfoot is still fantastic. Don't know where you live but he's doing several shows in Penn,-- Erie and Carlisle...
