Hey all, I'm new here but I'm a Lightfoot fan of decades. Obviously "Approaching Lavender" is one of my favorites! I believe that Gord is too young and healthy to die, and that with everyone's prayers he'll make a good recovery and be back on the road before long. Here's wishing all the best to Gord, Elizabeth, his family, friends and the band!

Hi Bill,
I was just checking the website for Gord's health updates. No, that lavender isn't me - but I wish Gord a speedy recovery as well. Hopefully it's something that can be brought under control, not something that may be ongoing.
I got the schedule for the Keswick Theatre yesterday in the mail. I looked through it anyway, but it was a little disappointing knowing that Gord would not be listed. I hope he will be back at some point. I guess we'll just have to think positive thoughts.
P.S. I guess I have to change my name because it won't let me post a reply because I'm not registered. Take care Bill.

I was sorry to hear that Gordon fell ill over the weekend, so I immediately checked into this site for updates. I wish Gordon a speedy and full recovery. Gordon, his family, friends, and band members are in my thoughts.

Knowing that Gordon is a perfectionist and professional, I am worried that he may want to resume his fall touring schedule too soon. I, along with his thousands of fans, would certainly prefer and *urge* that he fully recover and regain his strength before going on the road again. For as long as it takes, we will faithfully wait for the great master and poetic genius to return to the road and writing.

I, for one, am off to send a get well card to Gordon and to make a small donation to Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation. Below is a secure link for making donations online. I don't know how to make a hot link here.

On the outside chance that Gordon will see this... We love ya, Gord!!!
