Hope it helps! Later!

Another song I forgot about is 'Summertime Dream'. Must've slipped my mind.

DMD3, I'm not going to give you any financial advice, other than get a job and stash some money away, because owning a car is not cheap. You have insurance, gas, maintenance and repairs to think about. Nothing is worse, at your age, than having a car and not being able to use it because you can't afford to fix it.

And there is only one Lightfoot song for a young guy who has just gotten his first car:

Carefree highway, let me slip away on you....

Hey,DMD3! If you ever want to see the real Carefree Highway,c'mon out to Phoenix,Arizona in your car and see the real thing! I've only been on it once about 10 years ago with my dad, when he drove me up to a resort I was taking a short vacation at. It's kind of impressive but I'm sure there's more to see than the 5 or 6 miles of it I saw. Let us know if you do. Later!

On the tapes I'm recording, I didn't put 'Carefree Highway' on them. But now I wish I had. Oh well, I still haven't played my 1st GL song yet, but I will soon.

Ain't sure about this DMD3 but here's the lyrics:

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty-odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they're telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

Like I said, take it with a grain of salt...

Bill
