Hello to all! And congratulations on an EXCELLENT site! Im 25 and have been a BIG fan of Gordon since I could crawl. I'm also really pumped about going to my 5th Gordon Lightfoot concert tonight here in Duluth,MN.
I last saw him about 5 years ago in Superior Wisconsin at an outdoor show and it was great. I hear He's attending a memorial service tooday somewhere for the Edmund Fitzgerald, and will be arriving here in Duluth this evening for the show. I hope he makes it , as it is snowing heavily as i speak. Ill keep track of the songs and let
anyone know of any special treats. Thanks again and keep up the excellent work on an excellent site!!

Well the concert was great!!! Gord came out and started the first set with "Sea of Tranquility", and got a rousing welcome from the Duluth crowd who hasn't seen Gord in about five years. He then slid into "Don Quixote","In my fashion","Sundown","Carefree Highway", and "Rainy Day People". Gord finished off the first set with an always popular "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald",adding that he had been in Detroit at the Maritime Sailors Cathedral earlier in the day attending a memorial for the crew. The second set was a real treat also. He lost his long sleeved shirt for a black t-shirt and sneakers and seemed revved up to please the excited crowd. A wonderful suprise was "Heaven dont deserve Me", and a great cover of "Ring them Bells", prior to which he yelled "Were in Dylan country!"
No doubt we were in Lightfoot country last night as we were all in awe to see the old master at work still crankin' em out. Fans were shouting requests all night, and at one point someone yelled for "Summertime Dream" and gord said he was sorry but he couldn't sing that high anymore cause his voice has dropped 3 keys over the years. He took time to autograph records and talk to the crowd quite a bit also, which really revved the crowd up. "14 Karat Gold" started the 2nd set, and everyone enjoyed "A Painter Passing Through". I know I ran straight out to my car and listened to Gord for several more hours, finding it really cool that he was still "in town", and made a point to see him again real soon. And I might add, instead of just waiting for him to comeback, me and my wife(who I might add was turned on to Gord by me)will plan on a road trip his next tour. The next morning, I'm still humming all the tunes over and over in my head. ps..
("Old Dans Records"was the encore)
