I think this works sort of like a radio talk show. They say only about 1/10 of 1% of an audience ever even tries to call in and say something to the host. Most people just like to listen to the topics. Only here it's reading. So don't take it personally if you don't always get a response. It's a nice group and everyone gets around to saying something sometime. Have a safe trip.

Lots of folks are on the road seeing as many Lightfoot concerts as they can while he's in their neck of the woods! I had to go to NJ and PA from Toronto but that's okay - I had a blast! I tried to get a ride home with the guys after the sunday night show but they weren't going for it! LOL
I'll see him in Orillia in September at the Gordon Lightfoot Auditorium and then at The House of Gord (Massey Hall) in Toronto in November. He's THE MAN - always was and always will be!

Hi Char,

I'm hoping to go to the Orillia gig too. That would be a blast. I'm not sure how I would get out there, though. Maybe the Casino-Rama bus could drop me off in ffront of the place.
Whatever, hope to see you there!

2 things have caught my eye here. Bflataugmented, after much searching I have found the "live" version of "I'll Tag Along" I also listened to the remainder of the program, songs and talk from Gord. Worth a listen if you have not already done so.
Also I have just sorted out tickets for both nights in Orilla (Sept 6th-7th) have also booked 2 nights in Econo Lodge Orillia. Isn't the internet wonderful? I have a sister who lives in North Bay, we haven't seen each other for 25 years. I live in England, and am greatly looking forward to the trip. My sister and Gordon WOW.

hello bflataugmented

yes he is great. i've known this for over 30 yrs. for a long time i thought was among the few who truly loved this man's music. i've been a fan since i was 13 yrs. old; i'm now 45. i can remember being around 6 when i first heard "Daisy Doo" a very early Gord record. Something about the song (i can't even remember the melody now) was very catchy but doesn't resemble anything he's done since.
ever since finding this Lightfoot site, it's great to know i'm in good company. Gordon is quite simply a songwriting genius, & i'm not saying that just because i'm a fan. Songs like "Seven Island Suite", "The Soul Is the Rock", "The Watchman's Gone", & many songs from that period (Sundown, COTS) are among his best.

Anyways, enough for now,

Hi Bflat!

is he great? Nah - he is SUPERGREAT!

I'm in England and I crossed the Pond in
April to see him in NJ and PA (along with
Char and other Gord-mates)and I am hoping
to be in Toronto in November. You other
Brits should make the trip also.

Come into the House, as the Man says
