So, John - get your Tutor hat back on and explain that to me.
Now really Ms Bee ZeD I need more to go on than that to troubleshoot your efforts
Were you accessing the www.upload4free.com site when you
obtained that urinate elsewhere message or what
I ask since not only me and JJ but the redoubtable Moderator and Violet seem to have had no
trouble or were you stil trying to insert the address on your computer??

Possibly our Bee ZeD has a picture file on her computer entitled Gord-RAH-June71.jpg which
to me suggests that it was taken of Gord at the Royal Albert Hall London in June 1972
A concert in those primitive pre-internet days I was unaware of else I'd have been
there

"So" indeedy
I have to presume that you reached:-
http://www.upload4free.com/
when you got there you might have noticed two pertinent nay pert grey buttons the one marked Browse
nd the other....as revealed above by our Torontonian pal (sic) when he said:-
"then you hit the button beside the window that lets you browse for that filename on your harddrive, find it!"
He then followed up that sage advice with another pearler:-
"then you hit HOST and it will give you the url of your newly uploaded pic, copy the url by hilighting it, CTRL C"
Note that if you were to click on the "show me" link a few ideas for using this URL appear including wonder of wonders "use on
a forum" with the [img][/img] tags correctly showing!!
Now where was I? Oh yes "wonder of wonders". which neatly leads into the observation that the other display-challenged person around her our wonder of Wonder of Whitby today succeeded in using the very same 4free site to display not one but three pictures. I am saving all this for my revised tutorial and will end with a repeat of the caution I gave earlier re the limited life of these "hosted" files
you can upload a picture file of up to 1 MB in a number of formats and it will be hosted for 30 days. Also from the same outfit is a larger free file hosting service at:- http://www.upload4free.com/
where you can temporarily (24 hours max) stash any file up to 10MB with a box to enter the email addy of your intended recipient
Or at:- http://secure.logmein.com/dmcq/002.html
you could transfer and/or synchronise heaps of files across multiple PCs "easily"
To conclude I really cannot for the life of me see why in future Jimmy can't write all my tutorials for me as he made it abundantly clear
Nor why Bee Zed cannot achieve her aims so try agin' the feeling you'll get WHEN not IF you succeed is palpable

There's a difference between subtlety and just being obscure, but it's quite a subtle difference that can easily be obscured.
