Re: Thurs.Nov.15,2012 @ Massey Hall - setlist & pics
Hmmm. Char clearly had some camera issues at the end of that night - or maybe......
Somehow it left Gordon looking fit (which he clearly is) but left me me looking fat/obese in the same shot -a complete mystery within the world of photography - and most misleading . Somehow my muscles and height was taken off and chins and belly substituted . I smell a (Canadian) rat and I think I know her, I mean its name....

Oh PS. - and more seriously.
(Both ) back safe and sound a few hours ago. savagely jetlagged but otherwise good. The Lightfoot segment of our trip was, (to use a teenism,) an awesome experience . Char , Corfidians and other kind folk made sure of that -generosity beyond measure. My head is still spinning . Not that my posts make any less sense than usual for it....lol. Cheers and gratitude for the kindness shown from so many quarters - people who went way out of their way to make it an unforgettable one for me . They know who they are and I am deeply grateful.

Re: Thurs.Nov.15,2012 @ Massey Hall - setlist & pics
aha - there you are! I was wondering what leg of your trip you were at..home again home again, jiggity jig! SO terrific to meet you finally! You had the ultimate Lightfoot @ Massey (and elsewhere) experience my friend...It was whirlwind week for all of us, even me who had the least amount of travel but for you I can't imagine the fog you were in. I was glad to be any little part in helping make your Massey memories happen.
I'm looking into getting a new camera as we speak..

You were caught up in Charlene's Web I'd loved to have been a fly on the wall for your Gord chat and other On Yonge St interactions. My loss
ya look good. Thought it was Joe Theisman next to Gord
It's you who should be wearing the Canada shirt
You are now an honorary citizen and Friend of Massey
Ya must be due for a rip van winkle-like slumber. Congrats!

We also have another honourary Canuck-our ittle Jennifer from Appleton got herself a tattoo like mine- a wee red Maple Leaf placed just above her ankle. I travelled from Canada to the U.S. to get my Maple Leaf and she came to Canada from the u.s. for hers...Free Trade is alive and well amongst Lightfoot fans...
and I might add that she drove in on Thursday, got her tattoo, attended the show and headed outta town the next morning!

Re: Thurs.Nov.15,2012 @ Massey Hall - setlist & pics
And I sure wish I could have stayed longer, seen the other shows, and met more people! Steve, I must have been very close to you at the Thursday show, but somehow missed you.
Since I have gotten back, I have been dealing with fatigue, migraines, and vertigo. Fortunately, those things seem to be abating. And I would do it all again tomorrow
I am thrilled to be an honourary Canadian. Happy Thanksgiving and/or Thursday to all.

If Steve had been wearing an Aussie swagman hat (like I wore at the 2008 Appleton concert), you couldn't have missed him! - Dave.

Re: Thurs.Nov.15,2012 @ Massey Hall - setlist & pics
Dave I deliberately tried not to poor scorn on our race by association by remaining incognito....well unless you count my latest pride and joy bought in London & worn on the night of the 16th concert - the pink poker dot shirt that assaulted the senses of even the most brave. Some may have thought stomach churning! I will of course provide more targeted info and my perspective when I can do it in a single (somewhat) coherent piece. It may not be that soon though as I may need to work out how to download the relevant photos and will of course add the usual gibberish to go with it.
But this post is here to acknowledge those beyond the borders of the scary talent of Gord and his band members. This is not in any way meant to diminish him or them - their talent is all too obvious. They get (albeit deserved) limelight aplenty but I am sure would be among the first to acknowledge the contribution made by their families, friends & supporters. These people can be overlooked in the big scheme of things. People who don't need to be married / related or anything else to the band members to be people who shine in their own right. Humble but quietly and rightly proud. Included are Lightheads from Corfid who know talent when they see & hear it and turn up as much as they can - almost religiously, to prove it. These people help to make a niche in this world that only improves our little corner of it.
The love reply endeth.

Strewth apologies on behalf of the Brits who stocked it and sold it to you
We thought that Aussie fashion must be going rapidly downhill now it seems it came as a souvenir of your sojourn in London. If you or anybody else has a photo of it on you please do not display it here!!
Your one saving grace is that you did not attempt to demonstrate that it matched your poker dot underwear or your polka dot ditto come to that!!

Re: Thurs.Nov.15,2012 @ Massey Hall - setlist & pics
Was it just me or was there something hypnotic about that Thursday night concert?
It was like non other that I've ever attended.
I went into that hall sans stimulant and as the tunes were running by it was like some kind of medium entered and I was on the highest rung of the ladder still reaching for another one.
Can't get any better than that!
