Ordinary Man is right up there. It narrowly lost my vote which went to Don Quixote. Sorry....

I saw him twice when he was promoting Don Quixote as the current album. I THINK he did Ordinary Man but I wouldn't swear to it...

Um, JJ, I think you have a bunch of songs on that list that shouldn't be. Here on Corfid, there's a UK concert program with the list of songs he might sing, so I would say it's a safe bet he did all of them at one time or another:

I have another UK program at home that I can peruse this summer. But, bottom line, I suspect that he did most of the UA stuff in the 60s, because they were all the songs he had! Plus, his arrangements were simple, and most songs could be done solo.

I have just been reading some notes I made on the fabulous 1975 Red Rocks (ColoUrado) concert and saw that he performed

I make that only 34 still to get an airing (33 if Go Go Round gets a round of applause nextweek) so all thise lucky enough to speak to Gord next week should make a point of telling him of this vital fact and stress that he could soon add some of them to his rotation

Farewell to Annabel segueing into the recenrly revived Race Around The Ruins)

He preformed "Nous Vivons Ensemble" in Quebec City in the mid-70's and I believe it was well received. I think I have heard him mention the fact during an interview & it was mentioned in the book "1000 things about Canada" by John Robert Colombo. I remember when I heard the interview, I thought that was a pretty gutsy thing to do given the political tension here at the time.

Some years ago, Rick and I were talking about some of the songs they do, and I mentioned that I thought they should do Somewhere USA, and that I was surprised he wasn't doing it at the time. Rick agreed with me full heartedly. I never realized they never have done it live until I read this list. Thanks

Time for an update.. he's done Home From The Forest (Peterborough April 2010 and Hamilton April 2010 that I know of - and I'd Rather Press On was introduced last September at BBKings in Manhattan-Sept.2012.

I can't help but think of "Circle of Steel," which was not on that list, but, when Gord performed it at Massey last Nov., he stated they had NEVER performed it live before.

And, btw, for those who didn't get to hear that, it was awesome.

I think there are videos posted on YouTube, if memory serves.

since Mike wasn't with the 1974 touring band (and therefore the recorder sound couldnt be emulated on keys), i wonder if Terry played that single note intro/solo or if they basically just picked through the chord progressions live

our tribute band has toyed with it but apparently wont be playing it on Canada Day, (perhaps at Xmas) but when we do i will be adding the carillon for kicks

I have realised that my last listing from11.11.2012 has not yet been updated
So in the light of subsequent comments here which eliminated five songs here below are the remaining 34 of Gordon Lightfoot's released songs that as far as we can determine from the available resources were never performed by him in live concert, radio, or on television
Of those I somehow doubt if Gord would ever (again??) consider doing numbers 15 through 20 from his first United Artists album "Lightfoot".
But that still leaves a rich potential of 28 that could be gradually added to a rotation including in particular Cabaret and Farewell To Annabel YES PLEASE!!!

If you enlarge the Newport 65 set list

and scrut it closely you can just see that at that time The first Time. Peaceful Waters and Pride of Man were on Gord's then current rotation listing so were therefore most likely peformed live so that reduces the list by three more to 31
Also notable on that listing are Red Velvet and what looks like "If I Were" (A Carpenter??)
