Re: NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
I will Char. I've started working on my entry. It's tricky because I'm about to begin my move to Fairbanks. The logistics of recording will be difficult. But I'll post when my entry is submitted and when available for listening and voting. Thanks again! -Tim

Re: NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
Hi Char (and my other corfid pals). It's been a bit tricky putting my cover entry together what with the move to Fairbanks still in progress, but here it is. I'd appreciate it if you'd give my offering a listen by following the link below, and if you'd click on "support Tim" that would be great. A Facebook share would be really cool if you think it's worth it. thanks for your support in advance. I hope you like it!

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
Wow - this is amazing - had no idea "Tim" was on Corfid! (I'm always a little behind)
I've seen his videos (under the name "GordisKing") on YouTube and loved them all. I found "You're Not Supposed to Care" last year and was blown away.
So glad to know we're all here.
Thank you, Tim, for the wonderful songs. Good luck with your move.

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
Thanks Melissa. Nice to meet you, and nice to know you've been enjoying my YouTube channel. I wish I could post to it (and here at corfid) more frequently. I've got all sorts of new plans for it if I could only get to them. I'm glad you enjoyed the cover too. Please consider giving me your vote when voting opens on June 5th!

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
I just listened and was awed. Thanks Char for bringing it to Tim's attention. And Tim, I too have watched your videos on YT. I was
so impressed with your rendition of "This Land is Your Land" that I posted
it on my FB page for all my friends to hear. Hopefully, they will end up supporting you.

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
I just read my last post and realized my error. Of course I know it's "I'M (not "YOU'RE) Not Supposed to Care." Guess I'd been humming the second verse to myself.
Tim's cover is just about the best I've ever heard. Bravo to all your GL covers.
It would be great if you could make it to Toronto in Nov. We could have some cool jam sessions!

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
lol, same with mine (j/k)...i just assumed there was a mail strike, lol
i only read about it....i'm not sure what songs the woman sang
http://lightfoottribute.ca/news.html
Tim made a spontaneous, dedicated trip up, as it wasn't during Massey...double wow
btw, CP Rail is on strike lately so it's quite quiet out back...no Fast Freight
not even the slow type...not sure what it's all about but not fair to those dependent on the rails for goods...i do understand the GO service still runs
"there is a time in the unfair land when the railroad is still not running...."

The search is on.
Call the NCIS crew - they'll find it!

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
Wow, jj! You've still got the set list? My memory by the way - which could be faulty - was that you couldn't make it that night for some reason. That was a fun evening. Here's one of the videos of me from that night. It's the one where I'm singing "The Long River" while the microphone starts dropping and I have to squat lower and lower so that I can sing into it....

Re: VOTE FOR TIM!!! NEIL YOUNG looking for covers of American Classics
omigwd that was hilarious Tim..I remember it now.
I saw John, Kenyon and Scott on the weekend performing for a few hours the legion near me. I have sme videos I'll load up..
(James had to leave before they even began because under 19's weren't allowed and he had his son with him so there wasn't any keyboard)
