Been listening to The Eagles since I was 8.& 1/2. My oldest brother had the album Hotel California. I didn;t get their albums until the late 1980s & early 1990s. (Have all I need now,including the 1994 "h*** Freezes Over" album.
Living in San Diego California back in Jan. 1977 to June 1980 (then Phoenix ),The Eagles "Hotel California had just come out mere weeks before in late 1976. Pretty much everyone had that album and then "The Long Run" & then 'live' album.
(The song was #1 , 35 years ago this month (May 1st through the 7th). In fact all five of the Eagles #1 hits spent only a week at the top of the Hot 100:
