Re: Something Silly
that was not really silly, just wonderful (some bits went over my head)
i have done that sort of subtext over ride but using Asian films and other subject matter in the past, it is pretty fun... especially when your audiences think it is real
thanks

Re: Something Silly
i don't know if this is silly or not...but i somehow ended up on it minutes after i was seeking Steve Carrel (the voice of the lovable Gru) clips
btw, i could not find clips of Bea doing her Betty Rubble voice or giggle
ps) i enjoyed Despicable Me more than Toy Story 3 but it was also fun stuff
i did get to finally see a non-kiddie film DVD recently...it was called Atonement and out a few years ago...hmmm, that is some fine filmmaking, imo
btw, the interviewer is a big Gord fan

Re: Something Silly
This is silly.....but I found it pretty funny....assuming you've heard about the uproar over the building of a mosque within blocks of the 9/11 attack.......
On his radio show, Dennis Miller asked his audience for ideas about what to place outside the mosque that would show the same irreverence to their religion. One caller suggested :
A hot dog stand with bikini-clad women selling kosher hot dogs.
That's just silly.....

a gal pitched bikini weenies on CBCs Dragon's Den show and got the thumbs down
i'm no patron but i'd say most of the dog vendors in Toronto are wrinkly men

Now that 'Dragon's Den' is a real great show jj. Didn't know the bald guy (forgot his name right now) could play guitar.

Re: Something Silly
jjo, you mean kevin o'leary (good dude in real life...he just puts up a front on tv, much like Cherry does)
little robert (mr hairspray) & big jim (pizza man and former wrestler) also nice
dunno nothing much about the other guy of the gal (with the leno hair)
rm i'm again administering cpr to this thread...
i thought this was pretty silly (and a tribute to the Tiger Woods divorce)
question: what GL song titles do you think would make good horse names?
Daylight Katy, etc?
note: my wife knows everything, but doesn't care...

Right on Kevin O'leary... Mr. hairspray does look like someone I know down here.
The gal w/ the Leno hair... {lol} I would have never thought of that but you are right. Damn funny

you stumped me, jjo?
hey, it's ironic that dogs seem to always be scratching themselves except when situated in front on the tv (in this case anyhow)
if this were a man, the opposite would be true
