Re: October 2010 concert dates
I'm happy for the rest of you but Gord ignoring Minnesota in 2010 is practically unforgivable. He always has sold well here.
I'll cross state lines into Wisconsin to see him in Eau Claire (Oct 12). May try to go to Wausau the next night if I can get tickets. I contacted the Wausau venue and they said tickets go on sale: Mon. July 19 @8:30 CT.
Guess Gord will need to show up here in Minneapolis in the spring of 2011.

The one thing that I regret is that I won't be able to see the man himself when he appears here in Hot Springs in August. If the current weather trends are anything to go by, there's no way on earth that I'll be able to make it because of the awful heat.

Re: October 2010 concert dates
Just returned from 8 days on Georgian Bay this weekend with CRT, Whispers of the North, Highway Songs and Restless going through my head. After 31 years of coming to Canada, I finally saw my first moose (actually two) and my first baby loon with it's parents on Spider Bay.
I was pleased to see that Gordon added another series of concerts in October starting with Buffalo, NY on 10/1 @ Shea's. I was there for his concert two years ago but missed him in Western NY last summer because I was welcoming my first grandchild (Ella) and plan to make it to this concert.
Started listening to Gordon Lightfoot in 1972 and saw him live for the first time in May 1975 at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh and have seen him about 25 times since then and I have always left every concert wanting to grab one of my guitars. Maybe I can finally shake hands with the man and his band and say hello.

Re: October 2010 concert dates
After a 14 year absence, Gord returned to St. Louis one time, on Oct 1st, 2008. It was a wonderful, well-attended show at the historic Fox Theater in downtown St. Louis. He has not returned since. As the 18th largest metropolitian area in the US, in terms of population, I think St. Louis is perhaps the most overlooked area in Gord's travels over the decades. I do hope he returns to St. Louis again....many fans waiting to embrace him once more.

Well, at least a remembrance of his is memorialized in song :
"I knew one in St. Louis on a Missouri afternoon".

I moved from a huge City to a small town and I now have that same issue regarding unfamiliar large cities. But for the Gord...
