Does Florian know something the rest of us don't??

VIENNA — Vienna is the best city in the world to live while war-torn Baghdad is the worst, a survey said Wednesday, putting Europe at the top of the rankings with Asia and Africa trailing.
The Austrian capital "retains the top spot as the city with the world's best quality of living," British consultancy firm Mercer said in its 2010 Quality of Living Survey
Vienna is one major European city I have never visited although I did once spend a week skiing in Austria at a resort at the other end of the country nearer to Innsbruck
I was reminded of that recently while waching the Vancouver Olympics from Whistler Mountain, because we were in Innsbruck the year after they had held the Olympics there and we climbed to the top of the skijump tower.
It was HIGHLY amusing as in addition to being high of course, as I remember it looking down the slope at the bottom was a large cafeteria etc building and just beyond was the city cemetary
So if you over shot...you just might get a bargain price burial

SCARY!!!

That is scary, John! But wow, what a gorgeous city. I'll have to add that to my ever-longer list of places I want to visit.

Vienna was home to many of the great composers ~ Mozart, Beethoven, Hayden, Schubert, Brahms & the Strausses. Ah, but they missed out on Lightfoot. Somehow it seems appropriate that Corfid, through the generosity of Florian comes to us via Vienna!

yes yes Yuri and I bet when you composed that you might even have been
Brahms and Liszt
(Cockney rhyming slang) Pissed, drunk.
I checked Franz Liszt's wiki and although born in Hungary
he received piano lessons in Vienna and had
"His public debut in Vienna on December 1, 1822

So what are you saying Sir John? You want me to add Liszt to my list?

No doubt, Vienna is indeed a beautiful place to see. If it weren't for the fact that flying over water scares the daylights out of me, I might even be inclined to visit.
