I have had a couple of dreams where I was invited to visit him at his mansion - a "big brick house", always at night and never daytime "with the door shut tight". Huge, limestone building, windows shuttered up. Obviously not like the Rosedale house, which I had never seen a photo of until I joined this site. In the dream, I was inside just a fleeting moment, the house looking like the photo on the back of the "Endless Wire" jacket.

I think I'm cured now, because I don't have those dreams anymore, Doc......

Well, since the last time I posted in this topic....I did get Gordon'd autograph on 2 albums anyway.

"Sit Down Young Stranger" and "Early Lightfoot" , which he did in Jan. '07 here in Phoenix,

Still want to sing onstage with him too.

Other than that, maybe he could record one of my songs?

[QUOTE=Kelly Davis;162192]My fantasy would be to sit in for Barry Keane for just one song ( please, just one !!!!!!!! ) during a concert.

...I'd love to take a few pointers on guitar from Terry Clements......

Yes, I like them, too. The one I'm living in now is only 60 years old, but most of the original woodwork is still there. Love the place....

My fantasy is to sit silently in front of the man as he reflectively begins by saying "Chapter One - I Am Born".

(And no, this doesn't mean that I want him to recite "David Copperfield"!)

No "fantasies" but I thought I saw him getting on the ferry to Mackinac Island (LOL). I didn't think too much more about it until I realized it was just an hours drive to Whitefish Point. Hoping to see him at the local Burger King.

Well, when it comes to fantasies about him, I either have the one where he & the rest of the group come over to my house for a big barbecue cookout, where we all have a hell of a good time, or else it's the one where he gives me a birthday gift consisting of his entire collection of albums on CD's.

Well, mine would have to be that somehow he gets my cover CD in his hands and has something good to say about it. I did take some liberties with arrangements and added vocals... Would he like that or hate it?? Should I send one to the office when he's back from touring???

Yes Tom I myself think you should send one to EMP, you have nothing to lose but maybe a lot to gain ? Wont know unless you send one.

To play my 5 string banjo on stage for "You are What I Am" and "Old Dan's Records," like on the albums.

You ladies can have your own fantasies.

Kind of like this?

Well, if things could talk then I'm sure you'd hear
A lot of things to make you cry my dear
Ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
Oh, ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
Ain't you glad [Glad]
Glad that things don't talk

Now, if shoes could tell where they've been
When you say you've been visiting a friend
Ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
He-he-hey, ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
But ain't you glad [Glad]
Glad that shoes don't talk

Now, if doors could tell who's turned the knob
When he's away out on his job
If cars could tell who's been inside
And who's been taking you out for a ride
Ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
Oh, ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
But ain't you glad [Glad]
Glad that cars don't talk

In a world of trouble I'd be
If things ever told on me
My whole life would be through
'Cause I'm guilty, how about you ?
If things ever talk that way
Ain't no telling what they might say
Ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
Oh, ain't you glad [Ain't you glad]
Ain't you glad [Glad]
Glad that things don't talk

(Written by Bobby Miller and recorded by Ry Cooder in the utterly fabulous Paradise and Lunch.)
