Re: Tim - GordisKing
Hi jj thanks for starting my thread for me! I was going to get around to it when I had another video to post on youtube. Problem is both my steel strings are pretty unplayable right now so recording is a problem. I've decided to take the D-35 into the shop, bite the bullet and put the repair on the card if necessary so I can get back to work.
best wishes to all,
Tim

Thanks John! That's one of my least visited videos. I'm glad you like it.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Hey jj Thanks. I did bite the bullet today and dropped my D-35 off at the shop. I'm going to have the saddle reset, possibly some fret dressing, and most importantly, I'm going to have a fishman matrix pickup and preamp with tone control installed. It's a bit financially irresponsible of me but whatever. I miss it. And when I get it back, I'll put up some more vids soon after.

Don't worry about it........just get in line for a 'Bail Out'. Looking forward to the next renditions. Let us know how the upgrades go.

YouTube - Gordon Lightfoot - Your Love's Return (Song For Stephen Foster) - (Cover)
I'm sorry - I can't remember how to make it just a link. I'll edit this when I remember.

Okay, I remembered, or rather, RM reminded me!

Glad you like it Jim. I played it at the Aurora show, but messed up the instrumental at the end a bit. It's a bit easier to play sitting down.
Now I gotta figure out what song to do next ....

Hi Char,
the trip home was fine. It was a beautiful day that day. And traffic through Toronto wasn't quite so terrifying. We're doing great here. Getting ready to move.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
That is a good one. Okay, i'll add it to the request list. I'm afraid the list on my channel has gotten so long that I can't put them all up, but I'll add it as space permits. No promises that it will be the next one (though it might be!) , but now that dust is settling here after a tumultuous year, I'll try to grease the wheels a bit and get more done.
thanks for the suggestion Ron!

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Okay, thought I'd throw this one up as it's been on the request list for a while and I thought I could get it done quickly. Took longer than I thought 'cause it was hard to get the mix right. Unfortunately on the "whoop whoop's" I couldn't avoid some noise.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
Excellent as always. Your vocal range continues to amaze me.
You'll have no problem getting "It's Worth Believin' " cranked out. It's basically the same thing.......only different.

Hey, I didn't realize one of my YouTube favorites was on this board! Good to see you Tim. Thanks for your help and advice (still trying to figure out "Miguel" on the 6 string). I go by "racernc" on youtube. I really enjoy your songs!

Yup I remember! And was happy to help - to the extent I was able anyway. I joined the board here shortly after I was told that the lightheads here were posting my videos. I think it was Jesse Joe who tracked me down but he's been AWOL here for a while now.
Glad to know you're on the board here. Thanks for checking in.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
I agree with you jj re The Gypsy. But Tim, I must say your vocals hit the top of the charts on Your Love's Return....very nicely done! Each one of your creations is quite unique--looking forward to more.

Ok, so you won't mind if I submit a request then? I was listening to Gord while driving home from work today and I realized just how much I like the song I'll Tag Along....I think it would suit you very well.

Re: Tim - GordisKing
I've been wondering when someone would ask for this one. I've added it to the list. For the curious, here is the list as it stands now:
Carefree Highway - robfilmer
Paddy's Night Out - Dad
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald - Dan
Me and Bobby McGee - Mom
Apology - Patrick
Seven Island Suite - Jesse Joe
Flyin' Blind - Jesse Joe
A better place to be - cpossberg
Alberta Bound - Johnfern99
Shadows - BlintVidz
Coming of the Snow - Lindasko
The Watchman's Gone - RM
Minstrel of the Dawn - Lindasko
Photographs and Memories - LinYooToo
New York's Not My Home - LinYooToo
Sundown - Orion9824
Baby Step Back - Orion9824
Mountains and Marian - canlitgal
Did She Mention My Name - canlitgal
Now and Then - jiggerboss
Sound of Silence - Guitarh3ro20
Ballad of the Yarmouth Castle - Mary
It's Worth Believin' - RM
Time In a Bottle - gatorsfan367
Wish You Were Here - Judy
I'll Tag Along - Oh, Linda
Not necessarily in this order. As you can see, lot's of work to do!
