I, like you, was also suspicious of the time frame.

We still have another week of regular season baseball ahead of us, so let's see what happens.

Yes I did.......but in a crafty way. Thankfully, the store I shop at has numerous 'impulse items' in the same vicinity. So, while it appeared to others that I was reaching for a Snickers candy bar, my eyes were actually cast upon the seemingly endless varieties of gossip rags.
