Default Lightfoot Trib show at Hugh's Room

Lisa and I were unable to attend any of the 3 nights as planned but darling Jory has sent this along:
( I also was not able to see Anegus Finnan on Saturday night )
I heard Jory do the Trilogy a couple of months ago and I know what a terrific job he did then so I imagine it was awesome this past weekend. I'm really sorry I missed the shows..
There were some new performers and a few tunes never done at the shows before..

From Jory:

"hey Char:
I missed seeing you both this weekend.

I hate to say this but this might have been the best Lightfoot celebration we've done. The mixture of styles, songs and stories was fantastic. I added a 4 man a capella jazz vocal group called Cadence (they've sung with Bobby McFerrin...think that style of vocal jazz meets the Nylons) and they blew the place apart. They've already agreed to come back next year."

Here is a list of tunes performed:

DALA: Song for a Winter’s Night & Go Go Round
LORI CULLEN: Beautiful & Pussywillows, Cattails
SUZIE VINNICK: Sundown & For Lovin’ Me
JORY NASH: Canadian Railroad Trilogy & Circle of Steel
JOHN WORT HANNAM: Alberta Bound & Your Love’s Return
BUDDY MONDLOCK: Early Morning Rain & IYCRMM
ALEX SINCLAIR: 10 Degrees & The Patriot’s Dream
DAVID NEWLAND: Did She Mention My Name
CADENCE: Something Very Special & Boss Man
KATHERINE WHEATLEY: Old Dan’s Records & The Circle is Small
DAVID MATHESON: Long Way Back Home & Affair On 8th Ave
JUSTIN RUTLEDGE: I’ll Tag Along & Summer Side Of Life
JASON FOWLER: Steel Rail Blues & Don Quixote
ANNE LINDSAY: Softly & The Way I Feel
BRIAN MACMILLAN: Cotton Jenny & Talking In Your Sleep

Some new ones that have never graced the show before...and I did the Trilogy!! And I did it well, if I may so so myself...

We're already confirmed for next year...3rd weekend in January.

Hi Char,

Sorry to hear you did not get to Hugh's room this year. I know how much you and Liza enjoy those nights. Glad to hear you are booked for next year. Hopefully we will meet in a few weeks.

I'll come in with my Lightfootin' ' tribute song, if you allow me next year.
