There actually is a composition called lightfootin' by a Toronto based fan name of Ray
Murray who it seems is one of the few non spammers who haunt the relatively useless
Yahoo fan club group at:-
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group...htfootfanclub/
I responded to his most recent message dated 30 January 2007
in which he said
" Yes Amen.............piss off Dr. Goof
Ray"
This was my response that I made some time later on December 20th 2007 (after I had heard the CFRB broadcast)
in which I recommended that he join corfid and then I posted back here as follows:-
"Hey Ray I think I have previously recommended that you cease posting
here on this spam infested apology for a message board and use corfid.
I heard you on Sunday on CFRB and have now mentioned you and
your "lightfootin'" epic on a relevant thread at:-
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread...ewpost&t=17893
you might like to register there and join the multitude already
actively posting there
and do try to make it to the next Massey Hall/Delta Chelsea jam
session (next May probably)
John Fowles"
what I did do in that corfid posting was
lead you to the lyrics of the above mentioned ditty.
"We managed to catch the 1AM repeat I and noted a caller named "Ray" from somewhere in the
Tronno area who spouted on about a song he had composed called "lightfootin'."
This was undoubtedly one of the extremely rare non spam posters on the stoopid Yahoo fan club group Ray Murray his lyrics only are at:-
http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/kJ9qR11...tfootin%27.doc
or use
http://lightfootin.notlong.com"
I just tried those two links and neither now function but if you go to the group then if necesary sign in and click on the files menu item
you can open a word doc containing Ray's lyrics which begin:-
"Lightfootin’—Ray Murray
G C D G
So here’s to you, you ol’ son-of-a-gun
C D G
You taught me how to play when I was so young
C D
From the Early Morning Rain
C D
To Sundown’s last refrain"
Ido not think that Ray took up thre suggestioon (unless he joined with an obscure name like Landon "dorkdog" Johnson has . So I will now return to the Yahoo group and rtry to send him a mesage to tell him about this thread
And whilst at the group you could also download an mp3 I uploaded entitled:-
"25-Talkin' Silver Cloud Blues.mp3
Sung by John D. Loudermilk with intro by Gord"
That is an mp3 file of 4223KB (4.12MB) encoded at a rate of 128 KBPS)
It was digitised from the 1999 BBC Radio Liverpool GL interview by Spenser Leigh and is well worth hearing
