Re: Additional 2008 dates
Hello to all my friends, and hello to those who don't consider me a friend. LOL
Just wanted to let you all know that the tickets for the concert at Wolf Trap will not go on sale until late March or early April. I will let you know after the first of the year if I find out.
Hi Elizabeth, I do hope to be there. We have older friends in the DC area we want to visit. Just needed a good reason to spend the $$ on an airline ticket. As our friends get older they are not traveling so we need to come to them. So, this way we can also take them with us. After I sent the "older" women the Reno DVD they really wanted to see who makes me act the way I do. This might not make sense but I think you get the picture. Thank you for thinking of me. :

Tim...I SO AGREE WITH YOU!! St. Louis needs Gordon Lightfoot. Maybe we need a letter writing campaign!!

As far as I'm concerned the more the merrier. And if she's OK by "The B" then she must be a cool person. Hopefully it will be a normal June day this time. I'll never forget the heat that day, LOL.

FL please tell jbt that it wouldn't be the same without you guys. And really, how many more years can we count on him stopping in our "general area" ? I know it's a little bit of a trip for you (and us) but well worth it. Hope we can make it happen in 2008.
Perhaps we could all get tickets in the same row ? Now that's a novel idea, eh ?

Woo Hoo and Glenside!!

The Keswick Theatre was designed by Horace Tumbauer in the Tudor Revival style and opened in 1928. Originally, the Keswick featured both vaudeville and movies. In 1980, it closed and faced demolition. Luckily, it was saved and restored in 1994. It is now a performing arts center
So BillW it looks like we'll be seein' you at least once come next June (Just love that Greek food!!)

The funny thing is I have seen Gord twice at this theatre
firstly back in 2002 along with Bru and others then again in 2005 when we dined at a great Greek restaurant Bill had chosen just
over the road from the theatre with Bill Wallace and Lizanne and met Formerly Lavender and her brother, yet on neither occasion do I recall noticing the fine mock Tudor facade, so that when two images appeared in the results of a google image search for Keswick I was agreeably surprised the other picture is:-
Note to self
be more observent next June and take a photo with Gord's name on the billing

Re: Additional 2008 dates
Oh good grief - a double blessing as one might call it. Now to quickly justify two nights in a row. Wolf Trap and then The Keswick. "so here's the story dear..." I can almost hear myself now, LOL.

Re: Additional 2008 dates
Darn ! I forgot the Keswick policy of selling immediately. I just got two seats in row DD. Not bad but I should have jumped earlier, LOL. Well we were just in row FF for Johnny Winter and the seats were great. But since that year we sat in the front row I'll never look at the back of people's heads the same again...

Re: Additional 2008 dates
I know what you mean, Billw. Those tickets in the pit were awesome! I just got two for row EE on the left. I should have gotten on right away, but I'm just happy to have the opportunity to go at all. Maybe we can meet at Athena's again before the show???

Re: Additional 2008 dates
Yeah you'll be right behind us. They'll be calling that "the rowdy section" after the show is over. Athena's sounds great. And for a novel idea how about we all sit at the same table ? Tell that photogenic bother of yours that we're packing digital. I have this image of him standing in front of the stage waving two beers while eluding security and winking at Rick Haynes, all at the same time. Think he's up to the task ?
