Default Mid '70s Band Pic

I'm looking for a good-quality mid-70s live band pic with Gord. Does anyone have one they can post? (That would be with PeeWee, Rick, Gord, Barry and Terry).

Thanks!

Here is a nice one (of the band) right around the "Salute" era.
I have not yet scanned many pics from the 70's...but will do so this year I hope.

This picture is from an interesting era -- Gord with the electric guitar is from the Salute era in the early 1980s. This brings to mind another band question. There was a brief time that Gordon toured briefly with 5 band musicians (with both Pee Wee and Mike Heffernan). As I recall from a Kalamazoo, MI concert in November 1983, Mike was with the band and his keyboard were placed between Barry's drums and Terry's station on the right (as you look at the stage). I can't see any evidence of Michael in this photograph, though.

In the summer of 1984 in Concord California, I saw Gord and his band was back down to 4 members, with Michael having moved over to Pee Wee's former spot on stage. During an interval between songs at the Concord, CA concert, a fan shouted the question: "Where's Pee Wee?" All Gord said was that "he resigned."

I have two questions for the really knowledgeable Lightheads among us:

1.) For how long did the band include 5 members (with Pee Wee and Mike)
2.) What was the reason that Pee Wee left the band?

Thanks.

According to Wayne Francis' site, Hefferman joind in early 1981 ( now we have 5 band members). Pee Wee left mid-tour in 1987 "to pursue other business interests" (whatever that means). So, approximately 6.5 years with 5 band members.

I can't explain the conflict with the concert you attended in 1984.

Here's another shot from the same series that B4512 posted, from my collection. There's Mike and Pee Wee. I remember Pee Wee talking quite openly about leaving the band during the mid 80s--backstage on one occasion he told me of his plans, so it was certainly no secret amongst the group.

My photo collection is pretty sparse when it comes to the 70s era band pix, other than those in the songbooks, hence my request.

OK since the attachments feature shows clickable thumbnails of both pictures you elect to upload and also has a "URL" facility to show thumbs of pix already on the net here is B45's first flickr picture as a thumbnail
I uploaded it to corfid using the same "manage atachments" facility
see the screenshot attachment below
Denny had shown a true working flickr URL:-
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1052/...8bfeab.jpg?v=0
Note that clicking that URL or copying and pasting ostensibly would successfully display the picture in yiour browser but the bulletin board is "picky" and insisted that that file is invalid obviously because it is not clever enough to work out for itself that the perfectly valid file extension jpg is included .I had therefore quickly diagnosed that the problem lay in the tacky tacked on "?v=0" bit
so I pasted in the following into the"manage attachments"" upload from URL" box
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1052/...613f8bfeab.jpg
see the screenshot attachment below
There you are Denny success on a plate!!
This feature could be most useful since there is obviously no guarantee that the pictures you find on the net that you wish to display will always be available, indeed websites come and websites go and in particular I myself am in the habit of displaying Ebay auction pix which expire 30 days after the auction has finished, so using this attachment/upload feature will preserve the pix for posterity, or at least as long as corfid exists.

P.S. Note that both screenshots were uploaded from a floppy disk, yes I still use 'em
especially for uploading files to websites as it is far easier to browse a floppy than some obscure folder on my hard drive and it is a simple right mouse click "send to" operation to gather a set of files on a floppy

I am lucky to have seen two concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall

The imposing Albert Memorial, in front of the Hall (both named after Queen Victoria's late and beloved husband)
the first in June 1972 was notable since the orchestra at that time was also 5 strong due to Red Shea still being on Lead Guitar and a "newcomer" a young whippersnapper by name of Clements on"second lead guitar"
Then in May 1981 the five included Pee Wee Charles on "steel" and newcomer Mike Heffernan on"keyboards". in fact at that time I had never heard of Heff and Gord's introductions being customarily not too distinct I recorded him on my playlist notes as Michael O'Martian, whose name I recalled fom one of my vinyl album listings. a few years ago after a Red Bank (New Jersey) concert I brought this up with Mike and he immediately said "Royal Albert Hall" so I suspect that that was in fact one of his first gigs with the Lightfoot band.
As regards Pee Wee (real name Ed Ringwald) at one time he had his own web site at the defunct Canadian homes.com at:-
http://www.members.home.net/music12/index.html this was eventually replaced by:-
http://members.rogers.com/music12/
which gives an undecipherable message from rogers-Yahoo
and probably again by yet another replacement at:-
http://ca.geocities.com/music12@rogers.com/
which allegedly is still undergoing (lengthy) "construction"
and so far features just this solitary picture

but I found that I had saved a another picture from his original site:-

picture of Pee Wee with Gord at Olympics "1967" surely not since 1967 was Expo year as I well remember having felt that I was living at the centre of the world in Montreal that year
But all is not lost as a very few sets of his old homes.com site are still archived by the Wayback Machine. The most recent being from september 2001 see:-
http://web.archive.org/web/200112200...c12/index.html
there has been a previous corfid topic on Pee Wee that I started on the old forum
"Ed Ringwald a.k.a.Pee Wee Charles" it was at:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001974.html
somewhere along the line I made this charming screenshot showing various band members with rather more hair than nowadays!!

my original caption in the old topic made whilst I still had access to the original was
"plus this interesting old pic showing Pee Wee a much younger Mike Heffernan Dean Parks and Terry Clements when he still sported appreciable hair!!"
