Joni Mitchell...
Music legend honoured
Joni Mitchell plays a guitar presented to her by guitar-makers Robin and Claude Boucher at the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala in Toronto yesterday. The Hall of Fame recognized Mitchell as one of Canada's most successful songwriters, after swooning audiences with forays into folk, pop, rock and jazz for over 40 years.

I think she should be honored in every way that one can be in the music field. In Canada or here.
I'll never understand why Candada & other countries revere & respect both their own home country artists & U.S. acts but here, the best we can do is the slow-on-the-vote Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
Even the Country Music Hall of Fame treats it's artists better.

I've seen Dolly play. In my opinion, she'd be a much better player if she shortened the nails on her left hand. But of course, then she wouldn't be 'stylish'.

good point, ya, she but seems to attack the fretboard with flatter rather than cuffed fingers
but she hasn't always had the long nails...what an all around talent, this archive has quite nice audio:
