Dunno about that cool logo, but congrats on the win, jj and Argos! Dunno much about football, either, but tuned in to the last quarter. When I saw that Lion dance through the gaping hole left by Toronto's defense, I got kinda worried for ya, pal. Was BC trying to make TOR think they were going for a field goal but went for the TD instead?

Anyway, YAY for them!

I'm SO happy for Pinball-he's a class guy and deserved it all the way. I read that he and his wife are becoming dual citizens soon...
GO ARGOS!!

ouch, my head's a little light (or is it heavy?) this morn...i must be geeting too old to go march down Yonge St, lol

wow, that Tragically Hip gig at half time really got everyone pumping, another great Gord (Downie)

barbara, you better have been working on your concert review while watching the CFL! yesm that was a threat! hey, you get CBC???

that wasn't a fieldgoal attempt, that was a convert but because of the penalties it ended up being fieldgoal distance...they were going for '2' though, same as American football...which i know you know nothing about so why am i noting the similarity? lol

hey, the orignal Argo logo didn't have baby blue (yuck, like the crappy '77 BlueJays uni's) but this is all i could find on the internet and it got fuzzy cos i blew it up a bit...ok, that logo was a bit complex but just the simple oars ('pulling together') coming out of the lace holes was always clever, i thought...ya know, Argonauts? anyhow, the sail and banner wasn't necessary, true...actually their helmets just used to have a big 'A' on them, i liked that also...ok, the hangover coffee is finally kickin in, obviously

No, no...THIS is the play to which I was referring. And he didn't "plunge"...he danced. Didn't know what down it was, but I thought they were gonna go for a field goal.

**"B.C. shrunk the deficit when Dickenson plunged into the end zone for a seven- yard TD run six minutes into the fourth after some hard running by Antonio Warren."

And you're right...I had no clue what was going on with that convert thing. Seems like BC didn't either.

**"The Lions wanted to go for two to get within a field goal, but two delay of game penalties forced them to go for the extra point instead, which was shanked right by O'Mahony anyway."

After a TD I guess if you carry the ball over rather than kicking it, you get 2 extra points instead of 1, eh?

Bottom line is that you (and Char) are wildly happy...and I still don't love football.

I got the Argonauts relation to the logo, but not the pulling together...very clever, indeed!

Am I supposed to mention that I got those quotes from the CBC site? Oh yeah, and if you paid attention to my e-mails, you'd know that we get CFL games down here on our local sports station, NESN.

Damn, I love those litte faces!
