Just wanted to let you guys know that the big round of bloodwork I had done came back all negative. The MRI is scheduled for Oct5 at 7pm.... I won't get the results til Oct 15.... hopefully this will confirm/deny I've had a small stroke.

What a long time to have to wait. Don't be nervous though. An MRI is relatively simple and painless but you will find out a wealth of information. You said you were playing drums the other day so you must not have any deficit, that is good. You know the date finally and will be able to stop worrying when it will be. I hope everything turns out well. I'll be thinking of you with fingers crossed.

Actually I do have a deficit I have a balance problem that's why I'm getting the MRI. Doc thinks I've had a stroke.

Keeping you in my thoughts Gord. that is quite some time to wait..
If it was a small stroke, are there medications you can take to prevent another one or will they try to find out what caused this one?

Sorry Gord I meant a deficit on one side or the other. A lot of people who have strokes have less use of one side (usually the left). I didn't realize that the doc was saying your balance problem was possibly stroke related. Sorry.

All the best
Gord! Remember that you can recover fully from a stroke. God bless you.

Thanks everyone.... I see my family GP tomorrow... I tried doing that test again in my apt that my doctors have me do... I still can't put one foot in front of the other without losing my balance....
