Thank you! I'm glad I'm on the computer so no one can see me blush! I just wish you could hear my music. Then, I would feel much better about the compliments!

Okay, I am posting another song (lyrics) off my first CD:
EVERY HEARTBEAT
I can't help the way I'm feeling
Over and over again.
I will never stop believing, in you.
There are promises unspoken
Night after night in your arms.
The circle never will be broken, it's true.
Satisfied as children feel,
When their day is done,
With each setting sun.
(Like)The universe before the light...
I am part of you
And every heartbeat that you feel is mine.
It's a matter of intention.
You are the one that I want.
If I ever fail to mention, it's true.
I have always been the dreamer.
You are the one that I dream.
I am also the believer, in you.
Satisfied as children feel
When their day is done,
With each setting sun.
(Like)The Universe before the light,
I am part of you
And every heartbeat tha you feel is mine...
Gotta hear it with the music! Award winner!!!
Thanks,
Sean

Hello, everyone! While I have some time before the concert Sunday, I thought I would post another set of lyrics to one of my songs. I have receieved a means of posting songs here from John Fowles, and when I have time to fidure them out, the lyrics will have to suffice...
CRAZY LOVE
She wakes up Sunday morning, ten a.m.,
And rubs the sleep out of her eyes.
She takes the face off that she wore last night, a plain girl in disguise.
She drinks her morning coffee on the porch
And feels the night-time ease away.
So what if love is still a one-night stand?
She's better off this way.
Crazy Love, Crazy Love, Crazy love,
She's better off this way.
She puts the face on that she wore last night
A masquerade for all but her.
Another night, another strangers's love,
It's all that she deserves...
Crazy Love, Crazy Love, Crazy love,
She's better off this way...
Crazy Love, Crazy Love, Crazy love,
There's nothing more to say...
I'll get the music on soon.
Sean

I am a musician currently writing an album..
but lately i've been getting into the prog-metal-rock thing a la Anathema, Stratovarius, and Sonata Arctica.
I try to work in ELO, Moody Blues and even Gordon Lightfoot tings, but it all depends on my mood.
i'll have a website up soon, but here is what i have so far.

I dug back four pages in The Small Talk to see what was hiding.
This one shouldn't be hiding.
Song lyrics, poems, prose - I've embraced what I've read. More please?
Music has been my living since first getting bit by Ray Charles, Elvis, Choin, Mozart, Roy Acuff, Bird, Brubeck, and Leadbelly. With their spark, I've raised three boys to manhood and continue as a musician. It is the only gift in which I really know how to operate.
Let this thread revive. Let it prosper.
The Rez

I agree -- never saw this one before. I'm not a musician either, but, I would very much welcome hearing anyone's music or other art form. Welcome!

Thanks! I don't know how to put music to words. Sometimes I think of some tunes, but I don't play an instrument. (I don't want to learn either). I'm no good at thinking of titles either.

Come to the Window
Come to the window, I am waiting
Here below in winter’s chill
Give to me your sweet attention
Come to the window now
Come to the window, I am standing
Here in all anticipation
Of your genteel, gentle presence
Come to the window now
All my fellow carolers
Have gone along to other dwellings
Singing Christmas fa-la-la-ings
I alone remain, pray thee
Come to the window, I am calling
You to be my everloving
Ere you come full into flower
Come to the window now
All my fellow carolers
Have gone along to other dwellings
Singing Christmas fa-la-la-ings
I alone remain, pray thee
Come to the window, I am singing
Songs of winter wonderlanding
All for you my one, my only
Come to the window now
Come to the window now
The Rez
PS: It's done in a sort of perky Madrigal style. I chose to have nothing rhyme.
Perhaps lets keep doing this. To me it is magic.

Here in the Morning Hour
Here in the Morning Hour I seek Thee
Calling on Thy gentle presence
Singing hymns of grateful praises
Here in the Morning Hour
Here in the Morning Hour I greet Thee
Grant to me Thy tender mercies
Thou alone hast brought me safely
Here to the Morning Hour
All is quiet, all is stillness
Ere the new born day is dawning
Save the solitary songbird
Praising Thee in her own fashion
Here in the Morning Hour I meet Thee
So receive Thy lovingkindness
Offering Thee my heart’s thanksgiving
Here in the Morning Hour
All is quiet, all is stillness
Ere the new born day is dawning
Holy, holy - Hallelujah
Worship Thee Lord God Almighty
Here in the Morning Hour I seek Thee
Calling on Thy gentle presence
Grace amazing, love abounding
Here in the Morning Hour
Here in the Morning Hour
The Rez
PS: Had so much fun w/ the Madrigal interplay, I used the same melody for this Greeting.
. . . Psalm 5

Here are lyrics to a song co-written with Borderstone.
Here's a link the music

When Lightfoot Sings
(© 2003 Walter Farmer, Walter LaMont )
Verse
He came down from Canada that's no surprise
With a message about livin' a word to the wise
A voice as fresh as new clover in Spring
Folks stop and listen whenever he sings
Chorus
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Bringin' us up from the lowest of lows
Put a smile on your face and a tap in your toe
With Folk songs Blues songs or ol' Rock and Roll
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Verse
There's songs about livin' songs about love
Songs that give praise the good lord above
Ballads of heroes and the reasons we fight
Songs of the woodlands and big city life
Chorus
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Bringin' us up from the lowest of lows
Put a smile on your face and a tap in your toe
With Folk songs Blues songs or ol' Rock and Roll
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Verse
If ever you feel You've been dealt a wrong blow
The burdens of livin' have brought you down low
In one of his songs can always be found
Lessons about livin' that turn things around
Chorus
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Bringin' us up from the lowest of lows
Put a smile on your face and a tap in your toe
With Folk songs Blues songs or ol' Rock and Roll
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Verse
If ever you find yourself at Massey Hall
A familiar sound shakin' the walls
A sound so smooth that it welcomes you in
Lightfoot and crew are at it again
Chorus
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
Bringin' us up from the lowest of lows
Put a smile on your face and a tap in your toe
With Folk songs Blues songs or ol' Rock and Roll
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
When Lightfoot sings he sings from the soul
He sings to our the souls

Very Cool, Walt! I do remember something about this from awhile ago. I really like it, you have done a great job. Do I remember correctly that you play all the instruments too?

Yeah, I play all of the instruments. It's just a keyboard and 12-string guitar actually. I have a small studio set up in a closet....It's amazing what you can do now-a-days with computers and music. Thank you for the very kind words.

I wish I could be there, but it's a long way from Tucson. I was hoping to catch one of his California dates, but I just couldn't work it in. I'm still enjoying the Harmony CD a lot, it would be nice to hear more of it performed live.
Best,
Walt
