The Bald Eagle. When I lived on the Strait of Juan De Fuca, I got to see them up close and personal. Huge wingspan, and they are magnificent when they fish.

Hey B, you ever heard a peacock? Our neighbor two blocks away got one, and it took us forever to figure out what it was.
Loud. Sounds almost like a child calling calling out.

LSH,actually yes,I've heard them. Very eerie and a little too real. There's a public park behind a local community college here in Phoenix,only 26 blocks away from me and they have several there,they're quite mysterious looking but still...fun to watch. Especially when their feathers fan out. I recall first seeeing one ever on a film segment of,"Sesame Street". It's been me and this message has been brought to you by the letter B,the letter E and the number 12! (B-12..get it? )

I've heard them too. Very weird til you get used to it. My daughter worked at a horse farm one summer and they had a pair of peacocks running around. Each morning when I dropped her off...the male, whom we named "George" would call out and come over with his tail feathers all fanned out for her. The mornings when she would give me a hard time about getting out of bed and going ..I would tell her that George will be devastated if she doesn't show up. That usually would get a laugh and she would get up and go.

It's been a long time since I've seen a peacock up close. I don't think I should go look at theirs either...can you imagine getting caught peering through the slats of some stranger's backyard fence?
Imagine the headline in the local rag....not good...
I guess I'll wait til my next visit to the Animal Prison, I mean zoo...
