Anyone heard anything lately at all on Gord's follow-up surgery(ies)? Just wondering...

Haven't heard a thing, I subscribe to the Toronto Star on line and there hasn't been anything in there.

Unless somebody runs into either Gord himself or Barry, I doubt we'll hear anything one way or the other. The second surgery is scheduled for sometime around September, I think (five months from when the Toronto Star article appeared.)
It's not like EMP sends out news briefs to the local media on anything other than scheduled concerts or new CD releases. I guess we have to figure no news is good news and his recovery is on track unless and until we definitively hear otherwise.

No, the second surgery was to be in 3 weeks after Gord told his tale to the Toronto newspaper in late April or early May, the third surgery (counting after last Sept) was to be in 6 months which would put it around his next birthday. In other words the second surgery should have already happened. I would not expect to hear anything about these operations, unless something bad happened. Remember: Gord himself said he does not expect to be on a stage again until fall, 2004, at best.

No. Just some crystal meth. Just joking. Don't you remember Gary Gnews from that 80's TV show for kids? It had something to do with a roller coaster or something. I say that little phrase all the time and nobody ever remembers. It's worth the stupid looks I get from people though.

Sure Watchman. Of course we all remember what you're talking about. Now, take your meds, and go sit quietly in the corner. In time the hallucinogenic rebound memories will come to a stop.

Yes, Watchman, I remember Gary Gnews and "no gnews is good gnews". My younger kids watched him before they left for school in the mornings. They even gave me a stuffed Gary Gnews toy because I got such a chuckle out of him.
