For 35 years now I have been a devotee of the great Canadian Troubadour Gordon Lightfoot, yet in over three years I have yet to hear any of his prodigious output on your station. not even such past hits as If You Could Read My Mind

Iam truly flabberghasted.
I said earlier in this topic "there is one glaring omission in the roster of artists that you play."
I have continued for the last 19 months to occasionally tune in to 1067 Lite FM but nothing seemed to change.
It is almost as if somebody at their parent organisation:-
Clear Channel Communications, Inc.
200 East Basse Road
San Antonio , TX 78209
has a hatred of folk music because as well as ignoring Gordon I do not recall any recordings by such great Lite FM artists as Peter Paul And Mary,Bob Dylan or Simon and Garfunkel ever getting played on 1067 Lite FM. My email to them obviously fell on deaf ears.I had resigned myself to this situation then suddenly last night out of the blue I heard the unmistakeable intro to IYCRMM. Afraid that come morning I would think I had been dreaming I rushed to my 'puter to check their on-line playlist and after some searching was able to make this screenshot as proof:-

If you look closely you might just see the cursor arrow poised over Gord's name Lo and behold this bastion of Lightfoot-ignorance now has a webpage for Gord:-

Ok nothing very adventurous and largely based on the bio at allmusic guide
plus a page of mostly familiar photos at:-
http://www.1067litefm.com/iplaylist/...53/photos.html
although this one is new to me:-

the related artists link opens:-
http://www.1067litefm.com/iplaylist/...3/related.html
which shows "related artists"
Marty Robbins, Peter, Paul & Mary, David Brown, John Lewis
and "similar" artists:-
Anne Murray, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Barry Dow, Stan Rogers, Tony Rice, Ralph McTell, Eric Andersen
and a few "followers"
David M. Bailey, George Hamilton IV, Jim Croce, David Buskin, Todd Widell, Dean Rutledge, For Stars
I can't help wondering who David Brown, John Lewis, Barry Dow, David Buskin, Todd Widell and Dean Rutledge might be when they are at home but I do not have time right now to investigate.Off the cuff I can't see what John Lewis of the MJQ is doing in this list though I have read that Gord had as a young man been very keen (as I used to be) on Dave Brubeck
Reviewing this topic again whatever happenned to the two previously prolific posters Sean (Searam) from LA and Doug Letcher in Ottawa??
Once I have posted this I'll send a Private Message to both of them to try to reactivate them both or at least one of them
