Good guess...but it was an unknown. At least I've never heard of her...and I've been around for a while! This is one of those things that is going to drive me insane until I remember...AARGGHHH!!!!!!!

I had heard it while living in Windsor...it may have been a station from Detroit but I think the woman singing it was Canadian...
It was probably one of the best versions of a Lightfoot song you'd ever hear...it was almost surreal as opposed to the driving beat and defiant tone of the original...
