The more sharp eyed amongst you might have noticed that I have started to include different signatures to conclude my postings,
where the signature is usually part of a gord song lyric that picks up on a keyword in my posted text
I google for "lightfoot lyrics the keyword" to find something suitable
Earlier and for some now forgotten reason I tried "can I say"
and found this mysterious alleged ditty

which as you can see is featured in full on this web site page:-
http://www.reallyrics.com/lyrics/G003000010020.asp
And which I found is repeated on no less than three other sites :-
http://lyrics4u.org/D47000/kk46519.htm
http://lyricsmp3.net/D47000/kk46519.htm
http://www.lap.ttu.ee/~muhw/lyrics.p...n=show&id=7480

Has anyone any knowledge of this song or am I missing something here or what??

By The Way this marks the first use on the general discussion forum of a link to my latest
free image hosting find
Image Shack
read aboot it on the small talk forum at:-

Interestingly the lyrics4u.org and lyricsmp3.net sites actually say:-
"Artist : Gordon Lightfoot
Assorted Songs without album
Song : What Can I Say"
On the other hand the lap.ttu.ee site excels itself as under Gordon Lightfoot listings are a heap
of such well known GL standards as:-
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
Follow Me
I'm Not Sayin'
If You Go Away
It's Only Love
Nightingale
Ruby Tuesday
Take It Easy
Under The Falling Sky
What Can I Say

so there you have it!!!

LOL - would LOVE to hear Gord's version of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.

Actually the lyrics are from "What Can I Say" by Chicago (album: Chicago 16):

What Can I Say (3:48)

Lonely nights; empty days, use me up so many ways.
You came along and stole my heart away.
I just wanna hold you darlin', tonight,
knowin' that the love between us is right.
I can't believe that you'd ever let me go; oh, no.

CHORUS:
What can I say? What can I do? I'm so in love with you.
Got to be strong; but, for how long must I have this feeling?
Won't go away.

Take me back to yesterday, I just wanna fade away
Closer to you that what we used to be.
Are we really gonna let it die? Close the book and give it one more try.
I can't believe that you'd ever let me go; oh, no.

CHORUS
