And when you get straight
You're gonna come back east some day."

Jenney, you are absolutely right! I was hearing it in my mind all night last night, and all of a sudden I realized I had put it down wrong. Thanks!
And Jay, you got that one fast! I thought it was too easy
Okay, how about this:
"It's cold outside your window..."

Please let me in, the night is wild
It's that same old loverman
Not some lonesome winsome child
And I was born to believe
I never could deceive

You know those type of songs where you can't quite make the lyric and your mind plays scrabble.

Does anyone know the word?

Yes.

Joveski,if you're out there,I have to admit...that "suit" line was a toughie!!! ...but! Now,3 years,8 months and 11days later!!!!!
The answer!!

"His aim was mean and his shot was clean,
(And His Suit Was The Shade Of Evergreen.")
"The folks he knew had naught to fear,
when the sheriff was there and they were over here!"

That is from "Songs The Minstrel Sang" off of the "Endless Wire" LP! A song about Robin Hood & his crew, for those of you that haven't heard it.

Now! Here's mine: I've been around some, walking on____________

All right,thinkin' cap time! Aurevoir!
