I don't know how to get that darn website to work. I tried to add myself on there, but it's too complicated. I'll figure it out one day.
That picture was too big, just like our stomachs. :D (Just joking)

Very good advice Al.James if you try to display a picture (jpg) that is over about 800 pixels wide (check its properties Ron's great picture is 2076 pixels wide and almost 400,000 bytes)) it exceeds the standard width of this forum and makes it then necessary to scroll all postings to read all the clever stuff the punters have previously posted before you came long . To resize save it from where you found it then use any graphics program(me) that you might have or get the excellent freebie

Photogadget. the file (pgpro.exe) is only 1005KB and should take only a very few minutes to download on a dial-up.
Once you have a smaller file (which also then has the benefit of being quicker to load for dial-up readers) you have to find somewhere else on the internet to store it. It so happens that I have recently found a superb free website outfit that allows hotlinking and I am working on a fairly simple tutorial on how to use it. Oh do shut your face Stevo. You are always quick to criticise my efforts but I have yet to see you attempt anything other than being rude here!!

Hi All. The pic seems to have caused a little excitment. It was taken back of Massey Hall Sat 26 May before the concert. Gord was explaning and showing how a guy run off the sreet and into his dressing room in Rochester with a camera. Gord said he grabbed him as in pic, clicked then run out, and he hasent seen him since. Anyone know who it was?
Anyway my thanks goes to the stranger who took pic. his name is Mac from Massachusetts. I hadent relised at the time he had taken such a great pic.He was such a nice guy, because during the time of taking the pic and before the concert he went and got it developed and came looking for and found me in the Massey bar.
Should have let you guys see it sooner,

Maybe the post could be deleted with the large pic and after re-sizing it could be posted again?
I posted a few pics from Sarasota on the frappr page.

Amazing Ron
I met Mac in Boston last October having previously met Doctor Jack in Portland Maine
This picture is on the doctor's page and shows a group of fans at Massey in May 2005

Mac is in the middle with a moustache
and here is an even better picture from Mac's own Rose Garden MA site
http://www.rosegardenfolk.com/photos.html

OK, so Gordon Lightfoot didn't perform at the Rose Garden.
But it didn't stop our volunteers Mac and Kevin from bringing
the Rose Garden to Gordon after a show in New London.

Now Ron hows about you reading my Newsgroup message addressed to another fan in your town (Kevin Andreoli)
at:-
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.m...9f9f0c0bac5d6a
and making some sort of response about the great potential GL singalong in Gosport

Hey Bill! How come you didn't use my photo from the,"Borderstone At Last,Breaks Cover" thread? You could do a simple search and get the photo that way.
I'm honored to be included here by the way, just so no one get the idea I'm whining. :D

Absolutely correct "tricky dickie"
clicking on the original link:-
http://www.frappr.com/corfid
now inexplicably as you disovered it shows that frappr have lost all the hard work we all put in creating the map.My only suggestion is that Al Watchman (a.k.a Member # 396) who has been mysteriously AWOL since his last message on March 4th took extreme umbrage after his "run in' with geoman Steve see
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...814;p=1#000004
and deleted the map in retaliation, (some of us will recall that he previously deleted all his then current messages some years ago leaving many topics with gaping holes in the sequences)
I will try sending a Private Message to him and see if he knows anything (it was Al who started the map after all)

John, why don't you start a new Corfid map and we'll all add ourselves again. I don't have a clue how to do it.

I don't know if the original map is retrievable or not. Frappr would not let me choose the name corfid for the map claiming it was already in use. But that's standard practice. Most websites protect a name for anywhere from a few weeks to months after it's been deleted. But on the other hand there could be an on/off switch to these maps too and it may have been deliberately or inadvertantly turned off. I have no clue. It's all I could do to create one, never mind making sense of the ins and outs of the site.
