"Home From the Forest" chokes me up every time.

I find Home from the Forest rather sad. Also, The Lost Children, especially the lines: "Their laughter filled the countryside but they'll not laugh again" and "And the young boys were the middle name for guns to pray upon". (Although I always thought that line was "And the young boys were the middle men for the guns to play upon", but I think the meaning is the same). Especially hard to listen to in times of war, when so many young people are not coming home.

Rez,that particular special has been shown about 3 times this year (last time at 3am! Couldn't sleep, happened to catch it.)

They may pull it out again at "pledge" time,if you can bear the "breaks". ..but if you have a PBS store in your local mall, they may have it.

I forgot to mention,I also tear up a bit because I know these folks wont be with us much longer and it felt like such an honor to even get to see them once, even if it was just on TV.

"Thank You For The Promises", Very meloncholy to me. The descending progressions in the melody is what I whistle or hum sometimes when I'm seeking refuge.
