On the Album cover of, {Sit Down Young Stranger, or, If You Could Read MY Mind.} And Don Quixote, as well, while were at it. Does anyone know where are those 2 places, that he is sitting? I always wondered about that.

The Don Quixote one:

I know a place, in Moncton's Centennial Park, that looks like that, but I know that can't be it. Its kind of hard to tell...

Look how well balance he holds that guitar. You can tell there is a photogragher, telling him how to pose. Beautiful picture, the hair all in place. Well trimmed beard, and mustache. It's as if I was looking in the mirror. :D :D :D

Anyone out there, got the answers?

I know that's the reflection of the outside on the window, there. There are poles, so it looks like right outside the window is a porch. He coudl be at his house, but for some reason, to me it always seemed like he was at a resturaunt. (don't know why)

Someone asked that question directly to Gord a few years back. The answer was that the photo was taken on the Warner Brothers lot.

I seem to remember that the photos were taken at a park north of Toronto. I believe it is named
Blackcreek Pioneer Village or something along those lines. Someone in Toronto will know the proper name.

Black Creek Pioneer Village is a time warp into the olden days of Ontario circa 1800s.

I don't know if this is where the pic was taken, but the place is a popular tourist attraction and day trip for school kids.

I did get to ask Gord directly where the photo on the SDYS/ICRMM album cover was taken. He told me it was on the back lot of Warner Brothers.
Sometimes it's better not to know, kinda takes the romance right out of things.

Jesse-Joe,

Suzi said "someone" asked, Jenney is offering us the fact that it was she that asked Gord that question.

Also, after having asked and heard the answers to many questions as to where, why and what does it mean, I agree with Jenney, sometimes knowing the story behind the illusion takes alot of the romance out of it. As Gord says, "if I told you, it wouldn't be yours", which I personally feel is the most brilliant answer I've ever heard to that question. So I've stopped asking and let my imagination do the work.

This question would be directed, to Val Magee, Charlene, or John Fowles.

I have the "Sit Down Young Stranger", album. Most people I know have the "If You could Read my Mind". I guess a lot of people who were not really GL fans, heard the song, IYCRMM on the radio, loved it, and went into the stores to buy the album of the same name.

Is it rare to have the original, "Sit Down Young Stranger" one?

Anyone else have it?

Even though I'm not one of the people this was directed to, I'll answer. I have a couple of copies of SDYS. I have one that doesn't have any name on it as well. I don't think it is all that rare, it comes up on Ebay frequently.

I don't have one and never knew about the change until I read about it here a few years ago...
I went out and bought the 45 first....way back in the day.
