Yeah...I have almost as many Third Day albums as I have Gord albums!!!! "Love Song" was the first song I heard of theirs...and I was hooked. Mack Powell's voice is amazing! "Come Together" is a really good album!

OK I tried a'googling for your lyrics sarah and found songs containing "highest mountain" or "seven seas" but not both together Eventually I did find a Google "cached" page from an apparently defunct geocities site with the verses of a poem called "to you"

two successive verses contain your words so that might be it.
I couldn't let Annie get away with her results!!!

Did J.G. Snagglesworth TELL you this personally? (Maybe he perished in the river because you had to choose between saving him and Gord. A portions of his last words may have contained the message.)

J.G. Snagglesworth is one of the greatest songwriters of our time, but not a good canoeist. He has no legs and only one arm which contains only 2 fingers and thumb. Canoeing would be very frustrating, not to mention dangerous for him.

He wrote such songs as "Autumn Leaves In The Mud", "Planes, Bikes and Skateboards", "Over Exposed Film Again", and a childrens song you may have heard of called "Opey The Hampster For Dinner Again". All good tunes that soooooth the soul.

I'm sorry to hear that Snagglesworth isn't into canoeing because of his disability. Adaptive canoeing equipment now exists, with the capacity to overcome virtually any limitations, physical or otherwise. (This stuff is costly, of course, but with the blockbuster hits your man has composed, the cost would be mere pocket change to him.) If you see your friend J.G., you might mention it. There's no reason for him to miss out on a good thing.

Not from what I can recall from publications that I have read. If memory serves me correctly, J.G. is from North Umberland and all I know about his ancestory is that he comes from a very long line of reputable roofers.

By the way, the Snagglesworth originals "Opey The Hamster For Dinner Again" and "Over Exposed Film Again" are true stories from his life. Even though he did not start singing and songwriting until his early 80's, he credits much of his inspiration to Lightfoot.

Why wasn't he asked to sing something for that new tribute album?
