I don't know if I understand all the conspiracy theories as to why our original map disappeared, but I thought I would mention that I tried logging in with my email and password as a member to see if my name was still in the profiles. Sure enough my profile was still there, along with my photo. So it was easy to add myself to the new maps. I just found the map and clicked "add yourself to the map" button. Very simple process. I've also noticed that the frapper pages seem to have new pages and features and it says "beta." Could it be that we lost our map because they revamped the site. Anyway, for those of you who have yet to add yourselves to the map. Try logging in with your email and password to find your profile. It makes the process relatively painless.

Sounds easy Stephen but after chatting with you
and trying to edit my profile frappr stopped responding, at one point I saw my two pictures as before but my pin never appeared I logged in again, and now my picture has gone. and everthing is taking far too long to load Frustrating to say the least. This is no way to run a railway!!!
flippin' frappr finally deigned to allow me to edit my profile so that I could add my location and now I have a pin but the pictures that were there 30 minutes ago have apparently disappeared or are no longer linked. All pretty dumb if you ask me. My final words on the "conspiracy" theory are:-
1 I am pleased to find that obviously I was not thw only one dreaming that I saw "morbid corfid" mentioned here somewhere.
This proves that whoever devised the "buckaroo" riposte graphic is a corfid reader at least.
The fact that the topic in which we both Bill and I read that slogon has apparently been deleted points the finger at somebody known for his frequent message and/or topic deletions
2 Bill pointed out the admin password feature,
which would surely be necessary in order to log in in order to delete members and pins. this points the finger at the originator of the original "corfid" map, presumably the only member of corfid who would know the password
3 If the old map was removed or f'd up by frappr due to their experimenting with an evident beta version I would have expected them to have posted some note of explanation not a simple "get lost" graphic.
I am not trying to be nasty or offend either of those two keen Lightfoot fans'
I am just peronally p...d off that just as things seemed to be recovering here a completely unnecessary event like this should have been perpetrated

Well regardless of what happened to the old map or why it's gone and why we didn't get notice about it... there's no sense pointing figures when facts are unknown. Let's not beat a dead horse.
We're now moving on and the new map is available for one and all to join and enjoy...

I have just tried to add as I did successfully on the old board my hometown of Sherborne DORSET ENGLAND and was not best pleased that frappr foisted me off with Dorset Ohio where a pin with my UK picture is now plonked.I could have understood had frappr selected Sherborn Mass Of Chew Setts, but honestly I have no ambition to settle in Ohio. sorry Al!!

You might be able to add your address using the advanced mode where you can input latitude and longitude. I didn't need it but it might work for those who want a more accurate spot on the map.

Thanks Char,
OK now everybody add yourself, LOL. Steve is correct and if you added yourself before your profile should still be intact.

Char,
I suspect if you leave both links up we're going to have some members use one and some the other. Just a random thought.

Well, I added myself again. Waiting to see if my marker shows up. I'll check it later this afternoon.

I think some members are adding themselves to a map other than this one. Take a look - are you on the 'new' map ? If not then try again.

OK I see your marker now ! I was looking for 'timetraveler' but you used a different name.
This new map is not getting as much response as the original one. Who knows why ?

I'm on it.
Louisville, Kentucky.
You'll see me in my wedding gown, when I married Jim about a year and a half ago. You'll remember that I knew he was the right one when he came to my apartment for the first time, and while I took a bath, I heard him choose a CD to play. It was one of GL's, and I heard him singing along...to an album cut, not to a hit single.

Interesting trend here of people using different names on the map. We'll need a scorecard to tell who's who, LOL. (that's a sports reference: you get a list of players names to identify them by the number on their back - you usually, but not always, have to pay for said list) Sorry - today is the first big day for Football (American) in the US although opening day was this past Thursday. My team opens on the road so I won't be there but next week is a different story.
Sorry I'll stop now,
Bill

Here I am AZroute74 out of homage to my very favorite GL song, "Carefree Highway." Everywhere else I am Cruztacean, from my last name, which is Cruz. (Cruz Control was already "taken" at many of these sites.)
Don't worry about your babbling, Bill. I'm a world champion babbler, and I'll stop now before I start doing it myself.

Well, all wonders cease to amaze me...
I actually got my marker to show up today. I was beginning to think Frappr had something against Mainers.
